Arkansas to allow guns at football games

thats because we conceal carriers actually obey the law and know you cant legally drink and carry a gun or you lose your license.

Its more liberal scare tactics against law abiding citizens exercising their rights.

Yeah because saying the terrorists can strike any second isn't a scare tactic at all.

Look around and ask yourself if you can identify the people in the crowd who have chosen to exercise their Constitutional rights.

Yeah. So how many were attacked at college football games in the United States last year?

You scared to drive a car? Because way more people died in car wrecks yesterday.

Did I say any of that about being attacked at a college game or being scared to drive a car. I actually posted above it was a bad idea to be able to carry into a football game. But hey just read what you want I guess. And I do have a permit

Arkansas Senate votes to exempt sporting events from new campus carry law

AP | Updated: 1:23 PM CDT Mar 23, 2017

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. —
The Arkansas Senate has voted to exempt college sporting events from a new law greatly expanding where concealed handguns are allowed, moving quickly to address concerns that the sweeping gun rights measure would lead to armed spectators at stadiums and arenas.

Gov. Hutchinson signs concealed carry bill into law
The Senate on Thursday voted 22-10 to add the exemption to the measure signed into law a day earlier by Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson. The new law allows people with a concealed handgun to carry at colleges, some bars, government buildings and even the state Capitol if they undergo up to eight hours of active shooter training. The bill, which heads to the House, also exempts the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the state hospital.

A sponsor of the expanded gun rights law opposed the move, saying it would undermine the measure.

So much for the exercising constitutional rights crowd.

No regular patron or civilian should ever carry inside any sporting event ever. It's ridiculous. And I'm not anti-gun. I'm anti-stupid.

Then why even post what you did, considering that's the argument the pro-gun at the games guy was making by saying I need his internet badass self there with his gun to save me from Muhammad.

I find your blanket statement ridiculous. No "regular civilian" is capable walking around with a firearm and behaving like a level minded person in your opinion?

I don't think firearms should be carried into an athletic arena by anyone that is certified. That's not an insult to the excessive majority who are good people, but I just don't know what good comes from this. The cons definitely outweighs the pros. There are plenty of law enforcement officers to provide support for anything that could wrong in that environment.

I dont share your view that I should depend solely on others in protecting my family. Given that large crowds are an ideal target for the modern terrorist, I don't blame an adult for wanting to carry.

All it takes is one guy whose had a 5th of Jack whose been heckled all afternoon by some random fan to turn it into a blood bath.

Im sure if people had guns when UF was throwing piss baloons on us someone would have been shot.

One other point, ive always felt like if a terror attack happened at a sporting event it would be a bomb because theres so many people packed in closely. A glock wont help you if youre blown into a million pieces.

Hell, someone mentioned watching the news.

Put up jersey barriers and similar obstacles to protect pedestrians and people having tailgates near roadways if protection from terrorists is what you're worried about. My Glock wouldn't be worth sh!t if some pilled up True Believer decided to run a Tahoe down the sidewalk.
