Arrow

Lol I tried a couple times and couldn't get into it. You know what's weird? We seem to have similar TV comedy tastes, but opposite movie comedy tastes.

It's cause you don't like any comedies, LOL.

I am willing to bet I like some/most of the comedies you like. You said you like the old greats like Steve Martin, and I'm nuts about Three Amigos, Parenthood, The Jerk, etc.

I'm a real snob when it comes to drama, but am pretty open to comedy.

I like Role Models damn it, actually most things with Paul Rudd.

I love Steve Martin. The Jerk is one of my favorite movies.

Dramas just have to make me care about the characters, and have a solid storyline. I'm just extremely old school when it comes to comedy, I don't need all the over the top "shock" stuff to laugh.

What a finale! That last scene with Ray, I wasn't expecting that.

Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen to Felicity :( Which will force Oliver back in the hood!

I'm fairly sure you just witnessed the true birth of The Atom right there. Oliver retiring is just strange to me, but something tells me it only lasts for a summer. :)

I know this is a tricky question because I'm in the Arrow thread. But I'm almost done with Lost so I'm looking for a new show and am considering this. For those that see me in other threads and know my tastes, should I give this another try? Lol

I don't know how you could not get into Arrow, there is clearly something wrong with you. I'd say give it another try, maybe the third time's the charm. Then again you are Jerry after all so it might not make a bit of difference.

Safe to assume you'll be watching The Antman then.

"Arrow" EP Reveals Season Four "Will Take a Lighter Tone"

"Arrow" EP Reveals Season Four "Will Take a Lighter Tone"

[The show] will take a lighter tone. That’s pretty much the only thing I say without spoiling it. We’ve been working for about a month now in the writers’ room, talking about season 4, and I think that one thing we all collectively understood was season 3 beginning with Sara’s death, because it’s the death of a major character on the show, it set a tone for the remainder of the season. And I’m not the least bit apologetic for that tone. I happen to like dark and I like the fact that Arrow is a pretty dark show particularly for a network show. That said, every year you want to mix things up and there was sort of a collective desire on all of our parts to try to inject a little bit more lightness into the show, a little bit more humor. It’s not going to radically change. The show’s still going to be the show but in terms of tone we’re coming off a very very hard season for all of our characters. We wanted to try to mix it up a little bit.

He also touched on the way Oliver's character has developed over the course of the show, saying, "[Oliver] is in constant evolution and part of being in constant evolution and needing to grow both as a hero and as a human being is the fact that he doesn’t always make the right choices. Or at the very least he makes choices that feel right to him but don’t feel right to other people. And I think that’s something we definitely see in play in the final episode of season 3 whereas Bruce Wayne, y’know, he usually gets it right. To me that’s the key difference."

On the subject of "The Flash"/"Arrow" spinoff, "Legends of Tomorrow," he added, "It’s definitely not just the team show. I think the show is going to be bigger, louder, more ambitious even than 'Flash' and 'Arrow.' I think 'Flash' raised the bar on 'Arrow' in terms of adding superheroes and we’re looking to now have the show raise the bar on 'Flash' so you feel like the shows are getting bigger and bigger. One thing we sort of always tell you is that with 'Flash' we’re really trying to provide a feature film every week. With this show we’re trying to provide a summer blockbuster every week."

"Arrow" returns to The CW this fall.

I saw somewhere that Oliver will likely be getting a new costume as well as a new name!!

Big News!! :D

It was also announced today that Matt Ryan (Constantine) would guest star on an episode of Arrow this season reprising the character John Constantine!

Its currently only a one episode appearance.

Gonna start this. Looks kind of cool. I need something while I wait on season 2 of Blacklist to appear on Netflix.

It's a great show.

First two episodes pretty good. Fun show. Gonna keep watching.

Watched the first episodes of Daredevil and liked it too, it's just really dark. I Kind of like Arrow for the not so Dark super hero context.

I thought it was a very solid season premier. I really like the new suit! It along with the new voice changer made him sound a lot like the Green Arrow from Smallville.

Now for the big question Who's grave was it? We all know who the obvious answer is that's why I think it might be someone else.

Diggle's helmet is dumb as hell, that bothered me and will probably continue to do so.

Guessing who's grave it is a crap shoot. Felicity would be an obvious choice but I seriously doubt Barry would have missed that funeral and Oliver wasn't shedding enough tears for it to have been her. Thea seems a really dumb choice considering they just killed her last season.

So far this season has started out slow. Got a different feel.

Having a new lair and Oli and Diggle at odds is trumping the episode content. Add Thea turning into a blood lusting killer and it makes it even stranger.

Yeah they should have at least worked with Thea she just looks like she doesn't know what she's doing. Looks very uncomfortable holding the Bow and just awkward all together

I think this season so for has been very good.

Also I completely overlooked that the new guy working with Felicity at Palmer Industries will
someday be Mister Terrific! I noticed the T-Sphere an episode back
but it didn't cross my mind!

Also next episode John Constantine!!!

.

I love that they gave them a new, bigger, more sophisticated lair. Involving Cisco and The Flash crew in the rebuild was also a very cool idea. I'm also glad they got the Oli/Diggle and the Oli/Lance situations aired out. I don't think I could have stood another season of Oli and Lance going at it, it was getting old. Three huge show improvements already and they are bringing Constantine back next episode.
