Arrow

I agree with everything you said. You're spot on. I feel like Deathstroke was a great plug into the Arrow universe, especially since they've has run ins before. I would like to see guys like Onomatopoeia or Brick introduced. They've run through pretty much everyone else without building much backstory.

And you're absoultely right about the TV and movie universe. I think they even could have done some future Gotham crossovers into Flash and Arrow, but I'm sure the fact that they're on different networks has a lot to do with that. At the least, they could've had a batman/arrow crossover, which would explain the Ra's al Ghul link. Batman turns him down, he the goes after Arrow.

Brick's already made an appearance this season. I've heard speculation that Onomatopoeia will appear next season. Given Ollie's ties with the Russians in Arrow, they should think about doing a KGBeast story. I doubt there are any plans for him in any Batman stories anytime soon, so introduce him into the world of Arrow as a leftover relic of the Cold War now in the hands of the Russian mob. You don't build a season around it, but it would be good for a few episodes story arc.

The character they really need to introduce is Prometheus. He started out more as a Batman/JLA villain, but he had a profound effect on the story of Oliver Queen.

I still say the one saving grace they could salvage from this season is to use the Lazarus Pit experience to transform Thea into a darker character, like Cheshire. Imagine Roy and Thea as the parents of Lian. It would be awesome imo.

Also, since we're dealing with the League of Assassins anyway, they need to bring in Lady Shiva.

True, KGBeast would be awesome! As well as Lady Shiva...there's so many directions you can go with her. She was part of the Birds of Prey and also an enemy to Batman and others.

I'm not familiar with Prometheus, I mean the name is familiar and I've seen him in shows, but I don't know much about his background.

Prometheus did something evil enough for the comic book Green Arrow to kill him.

The whole concept of Ra's al Ghul originated in the pages of Batman. Ras wanted Bruce Wayne to be his heir. Bruce Wayne even has a son with Talia al Ghul. All they've done is taken a Batman villain and his motivations and shifted them to Ollie.

They have officially ripped off the entirety of the Batman/Ra's storyline. Just replace Talia with Nyssa. :jpshakehead:

I have no problem with it. We aren't going to see a Batman show like Arrow for at least for another 10-12 years so go at it!

Gotham will likely end with Bruce putting on the Bat suit for the first time (like they did with Smallville) if it lasts that long.

So getting back to the show, Oliver appears to be playing the game and trying to sell his act. He didn't search Felicity, he didn't kill Diggle(totally could have). I'm glad Thea finally picked up a weapon but I think Olie was pissed because he knew she didn't have to shoot him. Going back to Nanda Parbat both their faces after Ra's told them to get married was hilarious and priceless.

You think they formulate a plot to escape together? That's what I'm guessing.

Wasn't that a vile of the virus that Nyssa had in her sword? We know Olie and Akio are immune but what about Nyssa? A virus is a great way to wipe out an army of assassins in a very remote area. If Nyssa is immune between the three of them though I think they could totally do it.

Ding ding ding

Trying to watch this show and not sure I'm going to last. Do they explain why he has supernatural skills with a bow, or is the answer he just practiced a lot?

Not sure what you mean by that?

World class archers hit the bull's eye from 20 yards 50% of the time. I'm wondering if there is some sort of explanation for how he shoots a flea off a dog from distance while he's on the move. Mystical bow? Technology no one else has? etc.

He's just that good!

Seriously its a show about a comic book character! Who happens to be the worlds best archer! :dunno:

Yeah, but comic books still explain why it works in their universe. Batman has gadgets that make the impossible possible. Daredevil has heightened senses. Spiderman was bit. Hulk - Gamma rays. Mutants - genetics. Etc.

So he's just good at it. That's cool.

Actually yes. Cagle forgets I suppose that a combination of very honed skills plus the tech he put into his arrows via his Queen Consolidated "research" department. I distinctly don't remember him ever shooting a flea off a dog though. You're thinking about it too much. Just enjoy the show and Arrow's awesomeness.

So how do they get out of this?

One cool thing was finally seeing Tatsu finally dressed as Katana!

Well, they've got two options. Olie or someone else switched the viles for some sort of "knockout" gas or he throws them all into the Lazarus Pit. The mystery was kind of taken out of it when they showed the preview for the next episode though. :)

You gotta start skipping those, man! Lol

What a finale! That last scene with Ray, I wasn't expecting that.

Unfortunately, I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen to Felicity :( Which will force Oliver back in the hood!

I know this is a tricky question because I'm in the Arrow thread. But I'm almost done with Lost so I'm looking for a new show and am considering this. For those that see me in other threads and know my tastes, should I give this another try? Lol

It's not my favorite, so I would say yes, you will like it.
