Yeah I am sure I am a Centrist. I wasn't sure what I was so I took an online test to find out and it turns out that I'm a centrist. I was kind of wanting to be a republican but I'm happy being a centrist so far.

Lets say the election is tomorrow Billy.

Who you going to vote for ?

Dem: Obama
GOP: Romney

I guess I would have to go with Romney even though he is a mormon. It's close though.

Why? Do you know what either stand for? Do you know what their vision of the country is? And does their past voting record support what they say?

This is not just towards you, but I honestly wonder if people really know why they are voting the way they do anymore.

the base votes the way the party tells them to. they don't get into dirty specifics like: why?

Most are voting for a R or a D, that's all they look at.

I live in the 1st congressional district of TN.
I honestly believe for the US House seat , the candidate does not make one ounce of difference. The vast majority in TN district 1 will vote for anyone that has the (R) after their name.

Thats the way the majority of the US Congressional districts are. The latest poll I saw was Congress at a 9% approval rating, yet the majority of congress will be reelected in 2012.

this. I'm always for mixing it up. having someone in office more than 'x' years causes complacency.

Not true at all. Dumb post

A centrist could be one that is liberal on social issues and conservative on fiscal and military issues. A person who is pro-choice, but anti-union. That's taking sides.

a person without balls is someone that takes the same side on EVERY issue. My guess is you might not have any balls

You nailed it.

Conservatives are idiots and liberals are idiots. Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is a ******* fool. - Chris Rock

This is all a very perplexing approach to politics to say the least. You are one of a kind, Billy. God love ya.

You treat it as if you are straddling the line between hetero and homo (bike-curious).

If you're "bike-curious", this man can help:

No, not really but one thing I don't understand is why people hate Obama so much. I mean hasn't he done fine? Anyways, I don't know a ton about politics but I do know that I am very proud to be a Centrist and I love telling people I'm a Centrist because it's kind of unusual because most people are either Republican, Democrat, or Moderate.

He found and killed Bin Laden. Bush couldn't find him.

so Obama put on the uniform and led those helicopters to that compound in Pakistan?

it's true that Obama deserves some credit, but let's not pretend that his entire presidency has been filled with success like the Bin Laden raid.

unemployment at 9.1%, home prices at historic lows, 4 trillion in new debt in 3 years, massive spending programs that have created few, if any, permanent jobs (other than government jobs)

yeah, Obama is a rip-roaring success

Good gosh. I didn't realize all that. How did Bush do in those categories? Just wondering to get a comparison.
