ok - so centrists alternately believe lies. While partisans consistently believe lies. I guess thats something.
Partisans do not consistently believe lies. They may believe liars... but those liars are only effective because they profess something they do not believe. In fact, their partisanship enables them to see liars for who they are. It was conservative partisans that abandoned the GOP. It is liberal partisans now who are giving Obama the most trouble for not following through with all of his promises.
Centrists aren't really sure of what they believe or why so they run back and forth between whoever tells the prettiest lies... or whichever partisan group is the most energetic at the time.
Please tell us what centrists believe and why. If you cannot do that then just give an example of a centrist belief and the reasoning used to arrive at it.
Ah...excuse me. I disagree with your broad brush stroke concerning Democrats though.
Which probably explains why your only answer was to take a pot shot rather than actually trying to answer it... huh?
What do "centrists" believe and how do they arrive at those beliefs?
More basic still- define "centrist".
Billy is a perfect demonstration of why universal suffrage and a popular vote as part of the formula for appointed the President are poor ideas.
maybe it's just late but scrap it how???
yeah
you should either own your home, own a business, be over 30 years of age, current military or ex military to vote.
this sounds vaguely familiar by the way.
I'll just throw this out here again... you're an idiot. So someone that's 29, non-military, well-educated office employee, and renter cannot vote under your ideas until the next election?

Hey guys, I am a very hardcore Centrist. I took an online test to find out about my political beliefs. The last presidential election was the first time I got to legally vote and I voted for the McCain/Palin ticket but only mainly because my mama hates Barrack Obama so bad. Since then I have discovered I'm a Centrist but I haven't been able to keep up with debates and stuff as much this year as I'd like so I was wondering which person do you think I should be supporting based on my Centrist beliefs?
Aren't you suppose to be the peace, love, and gay marriage guy around here?
But to answer your question ... yes.
I also forgot to add "and employed."
Might be nice have a country actually driven by hard working people instead of a bunch of lazy *****es like you'd prefer.
In spite of his rudeness, he does raise a good point. You can be a productive citizen without meeting your criteria. That is why I would like to see a net taxes qualification. You should have to pay positive net federal income tax to vote in a federal election. Also, you can't receive a government grant, a government secured loan, a subsidy, Social security, or any variation thereof in the last 5 years and be allowed to vote.
Make it so that the people voting are the ones paying the bills. Things would still suck, but at least we could get a handle on our biggest drains.
You guys are ridiculous. So, RT, since I've had Pell Grants to pay for college in the last 5 years, then I couldn't vote? So... you're essentially taking votes away from Dems. Exactly what the Republitards want to do...

While I agree that people that aren't productive shouldn't vote, plenty of the people that your policy would eliminate are very productive. Government grants, specifically for higher education, aren't sucking on the teet of society, either. They're enabling those that had insufficient means to better themselves. For instance, my parents' have piss poor credit. My fault that they couldn't co-sign for a student loan for me? No. So why should I have been punished?
None of that's going to change, though, so no point in debating it. No sane candidate will bring up a bill or amendment that would take away the right to vote from so many people.
you can be a productive citizen at 16 and still not vote by today's laws.
I was working 40 hours per week at 16 and got my first job at 15 answering phones at Little Caesars ... I still couldn't vote though.
Just because you have a pulse doesn't mean you should be allowed to vote.
The having a pulse and over 18 law is why we our currently in such a mess in my opinion. Politicians can pander to the lazy and offer them free stuff and they come out in bunches.
30 year old and having a job means you're getting a more matured voter. I am looking for maturity here ... nothing more.
An 18 year old in the military establishes that.
Owning a home establishes that.
Sitting at home, watching tv all day, and cashing government checks does not establish that.
All I want is the people who actually get of their butts to be the ONLY people voting.
I've got way too many friends who went the military route who are my age now (36) and I still don't consider them mature. To the wise, years bring more wisdom, to the fool, years bring only age.
