As conservatives, do you personally dislike someone for being liberal?

I probably have more conservative friends than liberal friends. I don't judge either based solely on their political views. Do the staunch conservatives in this forum have any liberal friends and, if so, do you judge them or look down on them for what they feel is right?

I live by the maxim, "Never tell another man or woman how to think or feel. Your thoughts and feelings are your most basic, inalienable rights".

Don't want to start a bonfire thread. I'm truly curious as to how the Neocons on here deal with the Bleeding Heart Liberals in their lives.

Most of my family are lefties. I dont care, we know we're not changing each others minds, so its not worth talking about politics.

That said, I've left gatherings on occasion when some people feel the need to get on a soapbox. I can't deal with flawed ideology being crammed down my throat.

Slant of the thread implies vice versa situation would somehow be different, which is absurd.

I don't like people when they see everything black and white, good guys vs bad guys. It's just small-minded. Folks from any camp can be like that.

Two of my best friends are repubs. They are the ones that gave the the 'confused democrat' nickname.

Don't have any friends that are liberals. Don't hire anyone that would be in a place of power or that I would personally deal with on a regular basis who is one. To be blunt, I avoid them.

God you better believe it. If it wasn't for this site and the hour I watch Fox news, I wouldn't even know liberals existed. It is a beautiful bubble. One void of idiots fist pumping to the newest fashionable chant.

How about a moderate buddy? Many of you guys lib and conservative are growing on me (absolutely no homo- lol). I try to be civil to everyone. I just enjoy the exchange of ideas. The more dialogue we have, the better our society. When we stop talking I'll really get worried.

One of our basic rights as Americans is freedom of thought...my 2¢…

Because the Tea Party and Pro-Life movements have never had any chants...

You do understand that vocal minority applies to both parties, right? The majority of liberals, as well as the majority of conservatives, don't protest, boycott, chant, etc. They work and go about their business in peace.

Have a ton of moderate friends. Moderates don't bother me. I don't have to agree with you 100% of the time for me to like you. I just have to think that your elevator goes to the top and you're not going to grab the nearest pitch fork and torch and storm my house if 4other liberals near you yell "Kill the Tea Partier." Left wing liberals give me a headache. I do avoid them.

This is why no one should take you seriously.

Fair enough. Don't like pitchforks anyway. I live on a farm. I've shoveled more than my share of barn stalls. Not fun; thus, I try to avoid pitchforks....

Large groups of conservatives equals racist white guys wanting to spread their racist ways. Don't mind the blacks in the crowd because the media won't either.

Large groups of liberals equal the working man fighting for his American rights.

There is a difference.

I personally don't do the large crowd fist pumping thing because honestly I've been married so long that my left hand is wore out and my right hand needs to be saved for back up.

See Volatile?

laugh all you want but Jay knows where the pitch forks are.

All it takes is you and IP hanging out together and TheRealUT to walk over and yell "Get the pitchforks and torches."

Next thing I'll hear is Jay yelling "I know where I can get some. I'll be right back."

They can have mine. Word of caution, they are well used and marinated in cow manure.... That's the truth. There is a spirit of jest though guys. Trying to keep it light...
