As conservatives, do you personally dislike someone for being liberal?

Gotcha. Just felt like I should explain my own thinking and mend fences where/if necessary.

No mending necessary. I don't take offense - I just find it a shallow argument often used to derail the position of someone on the other side.

I've personally seen career destruction and morale destruction resulting from race card tactics.

I have a natural distaste for people who believe they have the right to confiscate my personal property to support their pet project, who think they can spend my money more wisely than I can, who think they have a greater right to instruct and raise my children than I do, and who want to restrict or limit my God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, including my first and second amendment rights.

However, I am not a slave to my baser instincts.

That's my answer to the OP's question.

I don't like liberals like Michael Moore, Ed Schultz, Medea Benjamin, etc.

On the other hand, I'm beginning to not like social conservatives who would label me a liberal because I don't care if gays want to get married and that the abortion debate should be a case by case debate and not a one way or no way issue.

Can't stand Michael Moore.

While I freely admit this is nothing more than an "impression" I am fairly certain even if my political views slanted more in his direction I think upon meeting him I'd still come away considering him a total douche.

My views are on par with him for the most and I can't stand him. I saw Bowling for Combine, which I liked, and F 9/11, which I didn't like. I saw his speech in WI and wondered WTF he was going on about.

How in the world do you know what someone's political ideology is when interviewing them?

Some of this nation's greatest CEOs have been liberals, as properly defined.

At least you are honest about being so close minded:good!:

I use a temp service to hire all off my insurance employees. This gives me 90 days to decide if I want to keep them or not. You learn alot in 90 days. I personally have not ever fired someone just because they are a left winger. I have noticed though most of the complainers and people who give up easy are more inclined to be left wingers.

On the telemarketing side, I don't hire or fire any of the employees. I deal 99% of the time directly with either the day or night managers. Most telemarketers are not long term employees.

But yeah, on a whole, I think left wing liberals suck and avoid them. You call it close minded. I call it surrounding myself with people who aren't idiots.
