Yep and then there was the waiting for the buyout to lower too. In the age of the portal things move very fast. A lot of players already have an idea of which schools they like or might visit before they even hop in. Only been 5 days but it puts us at a disadvantage.

We knew this would be a possibility. It’s what comes with coaching changes. While I would’ve loved to see coach Sam stay on staff, I’m not gonna deem this a failure on CKC’s end. She wants who she wants.

I’m also not gonna act like Kellie was this recruiting guru who would’ve loaded up in the portal and coached the team to a FF next season. I’m honestly over seeing uber talent kids come here and not win big.

Interested to see how next few weeks unfold.

Finley Chastin is a '27 Top 5 that was committed to UT . She's gone along with Top10 '25 recruit Nyla Brooks. All other relationships with all classes are lost.

Whether it's a failure is yet to be determined. Imo, it's a strike against CKC, especially if she fails to hire a coach with prior relationships .

Word on the street is that Sam was good at laying out the goods but the boss couldn't close the deal.

I thought that at the time but kept quiet. If the big donors were the holding off because they were waiting for Kellie to leave, as has been suggested, looks as though White could have rounded up the extra million in order to jettison Kellie, hire Kim, and get the rolling asap. Even if the plan is to wait to see who enters the portal, the initial transition phase/intros/press/players meetings, etc. could have been out of the way. The next three weeks are going to be a madhouse unless Kim has a very specific type she's looking for. She did indicate that wanted them to come for the right reasons, which might rule out a focus on NIL.

I have to believe there is a plan, but I think we are both coming really close to having our fan cards revoked by having any thoughts/concerns/questions!

They're all looking for more $$. If she has that attitude, it could be a long 3 weeks.

Yep. A god portion of LV fans seem to be way too attached to the past rather than moving forward. It’s time to cut all ties from the old guard and give someone new a chance. There has been absolutely nothing worth preserving lately from how this program has been run. Let Caldwell do whatever she wants to try and restore the program.
