Assuming BO wins, congrats to the following:

I had voted for the Libertarian candidate in every presidential election I had been eligible to vote in, until this one. The only way I would vote for Bob Barr is if there was an election to choose someone to throw in front of a speeding bus.

Seriously . . . I know a little about this guy since he's from down here. The guy is a major douche.

Almost 8pm on the left coast. The celebration riots should be kicking off pretty soon. Should make for some good news-watchin.

so can the Secret Service officially go after Jesse Jackson for threatening the president elect's nuts?

And I guess the 2002 State of the Union address had nothing to do with selling the public, and everything to do with the UN.

You can go ahead and add Colin Powell to the list to, considering he jumped ship as well. He must be partisan too, after all, he is a dirty republican Obama supporter.
The State of the Union and Powell are immaterial to the debate, but the case had to be made to the public. It was still corroboration for the years of violated sanctions and impotence of the Clinton regime.

Yes, Powell has always been a political animal.
Powell is definitely a partisan at this point.

well said Sabanocchio as we all need to try to support the new president and come together as AMERICANS!
why? I have no interest in supporting the garbage that Bush foisted upon me with his ineptitude. Regardless that McCain was seen as 4 more years of Bush. We get 4 years of moving hard left as response to Bush.

It's going to be funny watching all the Clinton slurpers fawning over Obama.

Yep. I wonder how long before the illustrious Rev Wright is back in the fold?

I haven't been this depressed since Carter got elected....I'm going for the Glenlivet.

I was wondering why more people weren't talking about that. I'm surprised more people weren't against a guy that almost condone a ''pastor'' like that. I mean Obama never really distanced himself from Wright. Say what you want, flame me all you want, but that speaks volumes to me about his integrity.

One thing about this does give me cause to smile. The Lester Madduxes, Jim Faubuses, and George Wallaces of the world are spinning in their worthless graves. Hell is an unhappy place tonight.

Given their longtime assocations with hatemongering douches like Pat Robertson and the late, but not lamented, Jerry Falwell, the GOP didn't really want that debate.

I'm not so sure the normal average christian associates with any of the people you mentioned though. If so, I'm in the minority. I'm just talking about your average, normal person. No one that follows Robertson faithfully can call themselves that IMHO.

I think the GOP was fine with that debate.

My point is simply is that it wouldn't have been a debate the GOP could come to with clean hands.

agreed, but the hypocrisy of the backwoods racist stereotype would have been brought to the fore.

How much traction did they get out of it? There's a reason for that. A huge portion of the electorate is more them a little weary of GOP playing the holier than thou card every time they are in trouble.

I'm just saying, I don't get it. If I'm running for pres. and my pastor is a hate-monger, american bashing idiot, I don't want to be associated in any way with him. I just don't get why Obama doesn't feel that way.

the pess drove it into the ground. The racist point is one the needed to be made regularly.

Traction was never coming with the inertia against them, period.

Once the economy tanked, this election wasn't going to be decided by peripheral noise. People worried about paying their mortgage don't really care who a candidate hangs out with.

I agree. The Economy trumped everything. If Lehman and credit markets had hung on for couple more months, things might be very different right now.

A classy, eloquent concession speech befitting what McCain was before he chose to make the deal with the Devil and court the fringe right.
