When you ban the press, you can get ridiculous claims. I remember when Chairman Mao was swiming in the Yangzee river when was head of his Communist China, and his publicity agents released a time of his swim for that day. When the Americans calculated the time it was a world record. Mao was about 80 at the time!!

Kinda like that Kim Jung Il guy claiming he shot an 18 on an 18 hole golf course or something ridiculous like that...

sweet. he fits the football profile better than Leonard Scott in a "fashion" sense. I'm waiting on some video.

"he cant be any worse than what we had running routes last year"

Exactly what I was thinking. With EA at qb we might need a big target. Or two.

Asumnu trying football; Ash getting another shot

Tennessee basketball player Stanley Asumnu is having a tryout at receiver on
the football team. Asumnu has used up his eligibility for basketball, but
would have a year of eligibility for football.

We know he can jump, we know he's fast, we know he has long arms, we know he's tall, but the question is..........can he catch?

Cultcilffe has stated multiple times that the fundamentals on Ainge's footwork has improved drastically and the result so far is much more accurate passing. So....I have a feeling all the Ainge critics might have to eat some crow this season when they see what Ainge is capable of if he actually has a coach that knows what they are doing.

And ironically enough it was Claussen that would have benefited the most last year with a taller WR. True?

A big target never hurts, but I think Clausen had more of a problem underthrowing receivers than he did overthrowing them.

I really don't mean to rag Clausen, but I think once the receivers got more than 15 yards down the field, it just didn't matter how good they were.

Good idea. As much as an athlete as he is, maybe he can displace the underachieving Meacham, Swain and Bret Smith.

caught a 50 yard pass today, and jumped up, but was barely out of bounds and almost got on with double coverage in the corner of the end zone.

How did he look as far as running routes goes?

hard to say, as he only ran 4 plays but he has got some speed he burned the DB's but they were the 3 or 4 strings. He ran a fade pattern in the back of the endzone, two post patterns, only one of which he was open for, and a corner reoute which was the 50 yarder.

saw him at the scrimmage yesterday, asumnu skied for the ball and caught it over the db. if he does this alot in the games, he could be a serious weapon
