I think Ainge's problem is accuracy, not velocity. He looks good throwing the ball, until you expect him to throw it to a receiver on the run at chest level then it becomes a problem. When your cousin saw him at the clinic how well was he hitting receivers?

And in the past it has been one of our best parts (excluding years with so many injuries). I feel they will be together when the season starts.
It looks like Asumnu may really want to do this. He has to pay his own way to even be on the team. The reports I saw said they sent him in for some fades and even let him take a couple licks on an end around. We all know he's a great athlete with tons of physical ability. I hope that some of what the bball team had this year rubs off on the fball guys.
We just need to do what we used to do, get the ball in the hands of our athletes and let them make the plays we recruited them for. I don't know why we got away from that in past years.

However, going back over the past few years, our running game hasn't been what it used to be. I'm hoping Foster, Coker and Hardesty can get it back on track..
The O-line is definitely a concern since they're going to be green this year minus Sears. It's just something that they'll have to work through. But we haven't seen them play this year, so I would hold off on implying that the offensive line is going to suck this year.
Yes, Foster came in and ran the ball well against Memphis, Vandy, and Kentucky. Teams we used to dominate.
Compared to how UT ran the ball against the top teams in the league, Florida, Ga, LSU, Bama. Not that great.
Foster is a good back, dont get me wrong. He ran the ball well. But the competition wasn't that great.
(Orangewhiteblood @ Apr 4 said:Umm yeah, Riggs got hurt in the Bama game and that's when Foster came in. The second half of the season was all Foster had a shot at.
Foster didn't run much in those games except the second part of the Bama game where he was on pace to get 100 yards against Bama's tough defense.
Last year, all the competition was tough when it came to our offense. With the lack of QB play and all the defenses putting everyone in the box Foster was able to rush
25 times for 150 against SC..
28 times for 138 against ND..
28 times for 135 against Memphis
40 times for 228 against Vandy
26 times for 122 against UK
That's just his rushing, it doesn't count the passes he caught that pushed him over 300 total yards in a however many games.
AND he did it with a bum knee and hurt shoulder...
Pretty good if you ask me.
