This thread is hysterical. Nico is fine. Opponents are playing tight coverage. The solution to that is to hit some bombs, but we have just missed on several of them. Once they start hitting, the coverage will loosen and the offense will take off. Those giving up on Nico at this point are nuts.

Are YOU paying for his Name Image and Likeness. I don't think so. It doesn't come from the school or directly from ticket sales. It comes from big money advertising guys. It comes from him selling his brand and his brand was contracted. If you don't like it, tough. I understand. We are all wanting high power offense and great defense. I want to win 70 to zero and hold every team to 0 yards but that's not going to happen.

How about giving him a decent Oline first before all the sky is falling? If the rush is coming there should be tight ends open, or they should be blocking.

I'm excusing a RsFr QB starting his 2nd Sec game...he has struggled that should show how hard the Sec is...Nico will be fine.

No, you literally just claimed that fans were expecting perfection from him, and that lack of "perfection" is why people are upset with his play, and not the fact that he he couldn't make throws Saturday that high school players make every Friday in the fall.

There are people already calling for him to be replaced...calling him a bust..containing about 8 millions dollars .Joe Milton 2.0 thread..all last year y'all said he would have done better.. Now that he isn't performing to perfection y'all are complaining... Get over yourselves

No one was calling for him to be benched because he wasn't "perfect". He literally couldn't even hit a basic out route regardless of how much time he had in the pocket Saturday night.

We survived his play as much as we survived Florida's.

Call it what you will. He is a young quarterback that hasn't finished developing physically or mentally. If you expected perfection because he came in and has played in about 3 meaningful games, then I think your ask is too high. A player coming in as a 5 star doesn't mean they are going to be an all star. 5 stars on athletes implies that they should be able to come into a program and play some. 3 and 4 stars can develop into better talents. The whole star system doesn't look at potential. it implies what scouts believe a player can contribute immediately. Nico may end up being a bust, but until he is a senior or declared for the draft, I think the expectations are too high. I enjoy watching him play a heck of a lot more than Milton and a lot of that has to do with the fact that I still see him as young and developing. I don't see him as a bust at all by the way, but he may not ever be more than a capable quarterback. I'm OK with that also. He would only be a bust to those that thought we had the next Peyton Manning. We shouldn't expect anything until we see them develop. Having a healthy offensive line protect would help too.
