At what point do we get credit for a "quality win"?

Go look at the final poll from the past 10 seasons. You will find 10-2 or worse in the 12-spot in almost all, if not all, of those polls.

What happens when you have multiple teams that are 10-2?

98 stands alone as having us beat Georgia Florida and Alabama in the same season. At least unless you go back farther, which I am not.

2022 had the debacle @Athens. Which cost us the playoff appearance. South Carolina would not have mattered (or mattered even less), had we beaten Florida Alabama and Georgia. You know, our main rivals...

I was listening to the Sports Animal earlier and they had a guy on there saying that Bama wasn't a quality win for us and we really need to beat Georgia in Athens. Bama was literally favored to beat us and we won and now all of a sudden it isn't a quality win. People who say the media hates Tennessee aren't looking so crazy now.

Vanderbilt wins come over non-quality teams. 3 losses at this point in season equals non-quality teams.

my problem with all of this is that they (the media and coaches) made them top 25 teams. We beat those teams when they were ranked and then they (the media and coaches) want to say "well they were not who we thought they were". I call BS. Maybe our defense is just that good, how about giving TN credit for being ELITE on defense, and just good enough on offense to win with a RS freshman QB.
