tough time to make a comeback in the SEC.

But get a player or two, a bounce or two, and coach a little bit and you can win games.

Mullen/Franklin/Sumlin over Miles is soooo dumb I can't even begin to describe it.

I guess Muschamp is fine at #10, I'd put him above Freeze though, and I think Freeze is a good coach.

i am appreciative for all he did at the university of florida, but it's time to start moving dan mullen down the list.

Franklin beats up a bunch of scrub teams (UT included) and is now a better coach than Les Miles?

Freeze and Butch are gonna start making some noise soon. This list will be drastically different in about three years.

Who cares what these people think whoever came up with this obviously has little knowledge of the SEC past or present.

The question might be what would the SEC coaches at schools not named LSU and Florida be able to do at those schools?

No doubt Miles and Muschamp benefited from the previous coaching staffs but what if Butch, Bert B, Franklin, Mullen, etc were hired at UF and LSU instead? I just have a feeling with the resources and the way those schools were set up any SEC coach could pull off equal results.

Maybe that's where the author's opinion derived. It is in fact an opinion.

That's the main reason. Vandy has always been known as a "scrub" team and now they are beating the "scrub" teams.

I don't care for Franklin at all, he's much like Kiffin IMO, but he has done a he!! of a job at Vandy.

Athlon Sports is headquartered in Nashville. That would partially explain the adoration of Franklin and unwillingness to give Butch credit for having won four conference championships in six years, even if they weren't in the SEC.

This. The guy was a play or two away from an SECC birth and the possibility of a BCSNG, he's top 3 recruiter in terms of HC IMO. I don't care how dumb Miles comes off as, talent gets you a long ways, it doesn't get you two BCSNC appearances in 4 years without some coaching to go with it.

Franklin and Mullen ahead of the mad hatter is a joke. Muschump should be higher as well.
