Athlon Sports rank SEC Coaches

This is the biggest "exaggeration" that I've ever seen posted anywhere. And the poster  knows it. It's one thing to be a homer. It's another to be an "exaggerator of immense proportions". I, too, live in Atlanta. And I'm very close to the program. There are some fans who, on occasion, second guess Richt's decisions just as Bama fans do Saban's. But to throw a blanket over the Dawg Nation the way you do is more than laughable. How many SEC programs would trade places with UGA during Richt's tenure? I'd say all of them except for Bama. Respond with more "exaggerations" and we'll start throwing in unsubjective stats and facts.........shall we? BTW, I know many Vol fans and they all say that Erin Andrews is ugly!

Funny how you would accuse me of an immense exaggeration.....by posting an immense exaggeration of your own. If that's the biggest exaggeration you've ever seen on the internet, then you must have just had it hooked up this weekend.

Anyway, I have no idea what the results would be if you took an overall opinion poll of Georgia fans; all I know is what the dozen or so UGA fans with whom I regularly talk say. They are not happy about having lost to South Carolina three times in a row. They are not happy about your almost annual bad loss to a less talented team. They are not happy about the record against Florida. They're the ones who won't stop comparing Richt's career arc to Phil Fulmer's. (I could post some funny quotes out of my email if you like.) Maybe it's an incredible coincidence that the only twelve unhappy UGA fans in Atlanta happen to be friends of mine, but about all I've heard about Richt himself from them for years is grumbling. I think he's got a chance to win some of them back this fall if he builds on last year's success, but first he's going to have to beat South Carolina for once.

Not many things in life are more result oriented then college football. I mean, how many businesses actually have a scoreboard, where all the workers sit around obsessing about being number one?

That will eventually seal the future for mr richt as it did for john cooper of ohio state fame. Like the buckeyes, there is so much talent coming in that if you're at least trying, you will win some games. I like to call it the slow bleed.

Georgia is 5th nationally in wins since Richt has been coach.

Having said that, I don't think lsu or Florida would trade places with Georgia since 2001

Here's the dude's statement: "All I know is that I live in Atlanta; I have plenty of friends who are UGA fans; and every one of them I know is underwhelmed by the guy. For a guy whom people in here are calling a great coach, his own fans sure seem to think he's a bozo."

This is the most idiotic statement I've read here in awhile. And I've read some doozies!

I'd like to refer you to my post just two posts above. Some of your own fans have been telling me for years that they don't like the guy. Don't call me an idiot because of what your own fellow leghumpers are saying.

I got this in an email last fall after Georgia got beaten down by the Gamecocks. Sender is a UGA alumnus who's had season tickets for I think almost 20 years.

He seriously might be in the bottom 5% of coaches. I swear my high school coach is better than him. He needs to resign and give some money back to UGA.

This is a different GA fan. The year before, after UGA opened with losses to Boise and South Carolina.

i hope dooley is good so we can try to pluck him from you. i cannot stand Richt anymore. he's def the new fulmer.

UGA has fielded the biggest bunch of pussies I can remember the last 4 years.

I can go on. These are your fans. The good stuff is all in my text messages, but that's a pain to cut and paste.

I have to give it to you. You are trying your hardest keeping up with your insanity.

I will not say that CMR has been great, I'd say he has been very good. And based on what we were before CMR, yes, I'm glad he is the guy in charge.

Coaches are victims of their own success. Many of our fans want more, can't blame them, but I am sure it's not because CMR is not doing his job.

I'll give you another example. You think Saban is in a comfortable spot now? No, his fans will expect a NC every single year. Look at what their boards were like when they lost to LSU and aTm.

I don't think my Georgia-fan friends are disappointed with Richt because he hasn't won a national championship. I think they are just sick of inexplicably losing games every year to far less talented teams.

I have to seriously doubt the authenticity of your "quotes". Why would any UGA fan quote such to a UT fan who's team hasn't had a winning season out of the last 3? But if it helps you sleep at night. You can keep this up if you wish, but I'm an alum who's lived in GA all of my life, and am pretty close to the program. I think I have a better pulse for UGA fan's opinions of Richt than a UT fan who's only connection to UGA is that he lives in Atlanta and claims to have lots of UGA fans as friends. Don'cha think?
