i'm not saying it's all his fault; the sloppy pretty much error of a run the phillies scored at the top to win it on was evident of that

but the average sports fan will be all over whoever messed up last

Fail to see how that's Freddie's fault. You have to pick where to be positioned, they can't be everywhere.

...where did I say "all his fault"? If anything (in what I said afterwards) I maybe insulted the intelligence of the below-average sports fan

You have to fire Fredi Gonzalez. You have to.

And I'll just say. This doesn't happen with Bobby Cox. Flame away.

Phils will sweep the Cards so it will be short lived.

Hope so.

Go Oswalt! Pence! Lidge!

F Lance Berkman!

I always laughed when Astro fans tried to convince me I should give Berkman the same respect I give Bagwell(my fav player). Too bad Bagwell played on better teams and didn't leave the team for a rival. Lancer Berkman can suck my!!!!!

Along with Jones. 3B, LF, SS should be points of emphasis in the offseason. We have young pitching help on the way. Need some "O".

You can't say bye to the face of the franchise when he just 18 homers and a .350 OBP. You just can't.

It seriously doesn't matter. Anybody could have gotten jammed and hit a bleeder like that. Linebrink made a near perfect pitch.

That's not the point. Yeah, it was a bleeder. Still was a dumb decision anyways.

Stop acting like Pence doubled off the wall.

This one is squarely on the Braves offense.

No doubt, but Linebrink shouldn't have been out there to begin with when the Braves had three or four better pitchers available to them. Who's more likely to give you one scoreless inning, Linebrink or Beachy? When the season's on the brink, that's what it comes down to.

I agree. People greatly overestimate the supply of real offensive threats at 3B.

Martin Prado takes over Chipper Jones at 3B. You know who I hope they get rid of? Martin Prado. So there ya go.

I really do hear what you're saying. In theory you might be right, but the problem is I don't think Beachy has come out of the pen all year and he's a kid.

If you want to rip something, rip Linebrink for the walk. Still, he deserved better than the result.

I agree. Still shouldn't have pitched to Pence.

And, I do blame the offense. But Fredi is a significant problem with the organization.
