If you think he projects more as an average fielding corner OF, the Braves' need for a solid LF bat, Salcedo (hopefully) moving quickly through the minors, and him possibly not being able to handle 3B, why do you think he is working at 3B and not LF?
[re-reading before I submit, and that question sounds kind of condescending, haha. It's legit question, not meant to sound condescending at all.)
Haha, good question. evidently the organization doesn't see it like I do or they have other plans for left field. I do not understand why they moved him to third, where he has very little experience opposed to the outfield where he is a little more seasoned. He struggled at times at first last year and was very average in A ball defensively, that is why I am confused as to why they are moving him to an advanced position when he can play left, which is another position of need. We will see, he has moved around a lot, maybe he will stick at third. He has actually been solid there this spring.
At first, I was a little peeved at Wren's lack of a big acquisition this off-season, but when I saw the $$$ that some guys were getting, I realized that making a trade DURING the season was probably the best option; not just financially, but also in regards to who may be available.
