I agree with everything you said. What I was getting at is I don't think Wren has maximized every penny as well as other GM's. Call it sharing the blame. Everyone from ownership down is responsible for this team of cupcakes.

Other GMs maximize by paying attention to the Moneyball stathead stuff that's become so prevalent it's a cliche. The Braves are -- and were before Wren was hired -- one of the old-school holdouts. And it shows in some of the roster decisions they make.

I should say that I don't blame him for the Lowe contract. Wren was in a bend-over situation and didn't have much choice.

I don't care how bad Hinske plays defense. Fransisco has been awful. If Chipper is sitting, Prado-Hinkse-Heyward or Prado-Hinkse-Diaz. He has professional at bats and has to be worth more than what we have.

None of this matters if the Braves attain a right handed OF in the offseason. It didn't even need to be a big name. Someone better than Diaz or JuanFran.

Even (a guy like) Andruw Jones. He could play ALL outfield spots, hit lefties, and is above average fielder. I know Constanza won't be on the roster much longer, but he, Diaz, and Juan don't have much reason to be on the roster if we did a damn thing this offseason.
