Braves broadcast kinda dropped the ball there going around the horn on who produced tonight. I think it's important to remember Heyward's run in the 4th which is presently the winning run -- went from 0-2 to drawing a walk, stole second, and came home on a two-out single by pastor.

Sounds like it's not a DL situation for McCann. Still, if he has to sit for a few days, they may have to ship a pitcher to AAA for 10 days in order to call up a catcher.

Missed the whole game spending time with those other people that inconveniently live in my house. Good win -- a glaring problem for the Braves in recent years has been beating up on the crappy teams. Need to sweep the Pirates.

The Braves have always been so ridiculously, mindlessly conservative about catchers -- third catchers on the playoff roster; never ever ever using the backup catcher as a pinch hitter, even in the 9th inning when he's the best hitter on the bench -- that there's no doubt they'll shorten the bullpen to have an extra catcher on the bench even if McCann's only likely to be out for a couple of days.

The 3 catchers on the playoff roster is ridiculous. If someone gets hurt you can replace them. No need for it.

It's just as ridiculous that they won't use David Ross to pinch-hit, even late in a game, when he's the best hitter on the bench most of the time. It's like walking to the store even though you own a car because you're terrified that you might get in a wreck and have to fix the car.
