Going to the Mercer University baseball preseason dinner next week for two reasons: 1) The caterer makes great banana pudding; 2) The keynote speaker is Jose Canseco.

You guys can say what you want. I refuse to believe Butch Jones is the best we can do. I realize that most of this issue lies with our AD. But I'm sick of hearing this chach open his mouth. He's not a good enough coach to be this irritating.

Its like that scene in Tropical Thunder when Ben Stiller is forced into doing Simple Jack performances, then in twist, becomes enthralled with the accolades (even wins a stick Oscar). The fan base is Simple Jack and the stick Oscar is the Life Championship. Been starved for so long a for a champion that the stick Oscar seems like a nice little damn consolation.


Not me tho, I'm with you, let's draft that Fire Butch petition.

You can get away with this garbage when you are either new or are winning consistently. Butch is right in the sweet spot where he is underperforming relative to the talent level, expectations, whatever...and so it's just frustrating as hell to hear his asinine bull****.

The decision makers seem to like him. I'm afraid we are stuck with him for several more years

I disagree. Butch is going to be fresh outta friends whenever the new AD arrives. New AD will want to ride and die with his guy. Unless, Butch turns it around of course. This upcoming season is going to be make or break imo.
