That's pretty much it. That's also pretty much why I think Hyams is worthless.

What should have Hyams have done in your opinion? Just not reported any of this? Not really his fault the program he covers can't ever seem to get anything right. If it's coming from him, it's almost certainly accurate. He's notorious for never publicly reporting things until he can confirm them from multiple sources. Hence the jokes about him always being late with info.

I don't think he is worthless for running this, it got a lot of clicks. Thats his job. Plus, these days there isn't much honor amongst the press.

Now, I do think he is worthless trash for the hit piece on Hurd's mother.

Worthless was probably a bad weird choice. I just think he tends to get into gossip territory a little too often, let's himself get used as a mouthpiece by the old guard and has strange timing.

Not sure if you guys saw the Twitter posted by the Rivals editor for the K-State boards, but it didn't leave me with a warm and fuzzy about Currie. Basically stated that this dude was the reason why a lot of decent coaches wouldn't consider K-state, and that now they'd have an easier time attracting coaching talent.

Hope it's just sour grapes.

Charles Davis(former Vol player & current FOX football analyst/announcer) endorsed the hiring of Currie big time so I trust Davis & what he has to say. He could be a vice president or president of some college himself with his knowledge.

From the Hyams article today:

He did not have a good relationship with former Kansas State basketball coach Frank Martin, who left for South Carolina, or current Wildcats football coach Bill Snyder. But in both cases, you could argue Currie wasn’t out of line, even though the coaches were angered.

One of Martin’s players had $200 wired to him. Fearing a possible NCAA violation, Currie suspended the player. Martin was livid and eventually left.

As for Snyder, he recommended Kansas State add equestrian as a women’s sport because his daughter was a rider. Currie came in, dumped equestrian and added women’s soccer. Snyder was upset. Snyder also was mad that Currie took over non-conference scheduling, putting Auburn and Stanford on the slate. Snyder preferred playing cupcakes.

I can see how if you're a Kansas State fan, and the guy A) butted heads with their JV version of Joe Paterno and B) ran off Giant A-hole Frank Martin, you might be happy to see the guy leave.

I seriously doubt Currie has been the reason they can't attract coaching talent. Manhattan, Kansas is the reason they can't attract coaching talent.

Charles Davis has been offered jobs at colleges but so far he's stuck with announcing football & being an analyst. Edit: My bad guys. I had Vandy on the brain. Davis went to UT & I knew that.

I had been reading something on a potential Vandy recruit so I used Vandy instead of UT. I will go back & change that guys. Sorry about that. Boy, do I feel like a dufus now.

Just because he went to Vandy doesn't disqualify him from being a smart man Verc or anybody else. He's been offered jobs at colleges but so far he's stuck with announcing football & being an analyst.

Charles Davis played at Tennessee, Tony. He was a defensive back in the 80s under Majors.
