I really enjoyed watching him pitch, but it was just pointless to pay a guy that much money to get three outs in the ninth inning on a team that's very rarely going to have a ninth inning lead. Glad they committed all the way to rebuilding.
Possibly, but if they didn't fire him after last year, it would seem horribly unfair to can him after this year when he has absolutely nothing to work with. They should have just moved on last season and started the rebuild with a new manager.
