Heh, if you'd done nothing but bet against Ovechkin's team in the playoffs, you could have made a lot of money. He's probably the best pure goal scorer in the world, but even that's worth surprisingly little in the playoffs. Opposing teams can usually clamp down on each other's top lines enough that most series get decided by the goalies, defensemen, and the third and fourth lines. The Caps have never been deep enough to roll four decent lines out there, so they always go home early. Even with Ovechkin.
