Deep dish is pretty much the only way to go.
Once upon a time there was a place near here called "Chicago Pizza And Sports Arena" that sold spectacular deep dish pizza. They shut down, leaving me with no available deep dish pizza. I've spent the last 10 years on a quest to learn to make it myself. In the last 3 months I've finally just about got the Lou Malnati's/Pizzeria Uno style just about down. Mrs Verc had to make me take a break from all the trial runs because she gained five pounds.

I've never had a lot of success making decent pizza at home. No idea what I've done wrong, but it's never remotely as good as just ordering one from a pizza place.
