I'm not sure what their rights are, but I imagine there is an appeal process. It will be tough to sue the prosecutor, even though his action appears political. They generally have immunity for that.

cop was fired without due process or investigation a day later by mayor's interim because chief refused. it's there.

Seems to me that someone such as yourself would salivate to get a hold of a case like this. The firing and the charge have happened way too quickly.

If that's you or me, we'd be in the same predicament. Can't shoot people fleeing.

I won't argue the merits of this case but you also don't want to work where one mistake can be a long prison term. There will be subjective calls. I think there should be reform and more accountability but you know when your being thrown under the bus.

It’s kinda funny to me actually. Pretty much every time we pulled the trigger down range there was an investigation.

I agree. As I've said elsewhere, the suspect taking a taser and firing it at you is a high risk event and IMO justifies use of deadly force.
