Atlanta Police walkout

He's afraid of Atlanta burning, and right or wrong - he should be.

It’s going to be far worse when the cop is acquitted of the charge. You’re between a rock and a hard place in that situation. But to uphold the law and hold the officer accountable you have to hit them with an appropriate charge.

You are deulsional. Open season on cops now and everybody ****ing knows because of the actions you condoned. What the hell you expect a cop to do who puts his life on the line dealing with the **** in society every day?
What actions did I condone?

And again, you ignore there middle ground. It's either one extreme or the other with some of you guys.

The ball has been in the police's court for a long time. Now that they are getting some pushback, they want to take their ball and go home.

All they are being asked to do, by reasonable people, is to change with the times... something every other profession has had to do.
You may be right, but the free pass being given to elected officials who have had the power to take care of this all along is unconscionable.

No disagreement here.

Some people are capable of multi-tasking. He can both do his job and worry, this isn't a particularly difficult skill to master.

He has clearly overcharged and done it too hastily , due to the optics. So no, he didnt do his job. He did what the vocal masses wanted him to do. Completely unprofessional.

Can't have it both ways. You can't right the wrongs of society by wronging somebody else punitively.

Its not mutually exclusive, the da can both believe his charges are appropriate and not want to see Atlanta burned.

I have questions. I don’t think this is as open and shut as we may think.
was the officer who shot the one who lost the taser?
If not, did he know for sure it was a taser as tasers look a lot like guns? Do we know for sure that the officer who shot was aware that a taser had even been taken away?
Did the officers have a chance to search the suspect before the fight broke out? Is it possible the officer could have thought it to be a different weapon than the taser? Was there reasons to believe that the suspect had a potential gun, was on drugs, and possibly a danger to others standing around?

What I’d like to see is an investigation handled by an independent agency. Maybe just maybe we should follow the law here.
That is similar to what I said earlier. Did he know if the dead guy had his partner's pistol or not? They had been wrestling with him on the ground. Did the cop think he might be getting shot with a pistol? Does it make any difference? As far as getting shot in the back, I bet there wasn't a second between when the guy was looking back shooting, and when he turned away. There is some lag time there between getting ready to shoot and whether the target moves..

By show of hands, who has ever been in a street fight? Had a weapon pulled on them? Had a gun pulled on them? Yes to all three right here.

The Monday morning quarterback'ing of police is just disgusting in general.

There are Navy Seals who couldn't respond to some of these situations in a way that would get approval in the film room by the wokeness brigade.

"All I want is every single cop in the entire country to respond to every single situation with the accuracy and precision of Robocop. Why are they quitting?" - a bunch of retards.
