If Auburn people are killing the Freeze hire, that’s another matter. I don’t know who was speaking up about it. My point was that if some Karen activist group in Minnesota was screaming about Freeze getting the job because he screwed some hookers, I don’t particularly what their opinion on the hire is.

Auburn’s PTB could F up a wet dream. As long as the meddling boosters cloud hangs over them, they’ll never get any big name coach. They’ll have to luck their way into a good hire. And it’s not looking good from the list of candidates being put out now. lol

Good people make mistakes. They don’t compare their current AD to being “Christlike” (the same AD who was in charge of Baylor during the Art Briles saga) and to be honest, I find Liberty University to be a fraud hiding behind their religion in general. From the rape shaming culture to Jerry Falwell Jr and his pool boy, I don’t have much good to say about anyone in administration there.

I think Freeze's "Jesus" shtick was immediately old when he was using it at Ole Miss. It got infuriating because it turned out he was not holier than anyone.

I am a Christian, but Freeze wraps himself in the language of faith, and has all along. Hearing it from him has gotten OLD.

Alleged Victim Of Sexual Assault Warns Auburn About Hiring Hugh Freeze

Liberty University is currently under federal investigation by the Department of Education for sexual assault coverups. It stems from a significant lawsuit against the school that accused officials of mishandling allegations of sexual assault and claimed that the religious university’s strict policies made sexual assault and rape more likely.

Part of the pushback against Freeze is because a plaintiff in a lawsuit alleging sexual assault coverups at Liberty University received unsolicited messages from Hugh Freeze defending one of the university officials named in the lawsuit; the AD at Liberty who was AD during the sexual assault scandal at Baylor, Ian McCaw. Freeze told her McCaw "is the most Jesus like leader I have."

The allegations in the Federal Lawsuit are hard core. Freeze is an adult and should have known better than to contact her. That was completely stupid.


I don't know if he will get hired or not, but glad AUB is dealing with this crapshow instead of us. I see now there was good reason UT did not seriously consider Freeze, after due diligence, when many of us in the fanbase were clamoring for him. I wasn't totally against it at the time, but it appears he is just as messy a figure as before he went to LU. I guess whoever threw the dice on Freeze is guaranteed a MESS.

Some things never change. Freeze has layers and layers of offputting behavior and circumstances.

There’s “I cheated on my wife” and then there’s openly DM’ing rape victims defending your AD unsolicited and multiple reports of inappropriate behavior with high school girls. Freeze just is not a person I would want associated with my program in any way.

Forgot about that crap.
Some men have a kneejerk reaction to doubt many female accusers, especially long after the fact.
But there is a pattern of behavior corroborated by his actions. A lot of smoke surrounding Hugh Freeze. It would be weird if there was no fire when accused by multiple women in multiple geographies involving one person.
And, that is a lot of people saying he did inappropriate things. Some public knowledge, some "he said, she said".

Glad this is not our burning couches this time.

I think Freeze is cancelled at Auburn with the DM a couple of messages above. You're not ready for the SEC if you're messaging someone suing the university.

Forget the reason for a second, a head football coach DMing someone at midnight who is suing the university to scold them suggests Sark issues or a lack of awareness of how weird that looks.

I have heard that he has “redeemed himself” through some in Jackson, TN. Maybe not……

It's really surprising he got by at Ole Miss as long as he did, now that I know more.

Author thinks Kiffin was actually target number one.
Freeze to Auburn talk has cooled off after the Auburn fanbase and some booster pushback.

" A source close to Auburn's NIL collective On To Victory shared that they believed Hugh Freeze would be the best hire when it came to Auburn's NIL front. The source believed the Freeze would be the best at implementing it for future and current players. "

Probably right about Freeze being effective with NIL considering.
