Yeah, and I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.Sounds like Kiffin to AU was in the bag and ultimately his children changed his decision. I respect that. Good luck Kiff.

All of the "Kiffin to AU" smoke AND the "he stayed put for his kids" has the PR fingerprints of Jimmy Sexton.
Nothing about Lane Kiffin has ever not involved smoke and mirrors.
There's a possibility Kiffin has finally "dug in" at Ole Miss, I guess, but I haven't seen a trustworthy move from the guy before.I’m not going to say it wasn’t a stunt to get every dime out of OM he could but with Knox on the sidelines he very well could have asked him his opinion and gave it a lot of weight.

If he did listen to his kid, it's a Grinch moment in my eyes and his heart grew 3 sizes.
I was about to say. When did Lane ever care about his kids or his wife? When he was chasing co-eds while married? Lane is about Lane. Period. And Jimmy Sexton is about leverage. Stayed put for his kids? What a crock.Yeah, and I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

We’ll probably never know, and my opinion isn’t worth anymore than the next guy…but I think Kiffin wanted it. He was clearly touchy about the subject, as evidenced by his altercation with a no name reporter. He held off on his contract, and he left the door open with his team to leave. If I’m not mistaken, he and Freeze both share Jimmy Sexton, and I think Sexton kept him in the loop that they preferred Freeze. Tin foil hat stuff on my part, but I think Kiffin is off to Auburn if it was up to him. He seemed literally miserable all week and after the egg bowl.
He did to an extent by having a gravy train to the playoffs for the first 6 years. All he had to do was get his guys up for 2-3 games a year and they dominated the ACC so badly his starters were rested and not beat up. He touted a couple of years ago how they had something like 85 guys get a full games worth of snaps over the course of the regular season. That would NEVER happen in the SEC, there aren’t enough blowouts for that to happen. That’s a terrible indictment on the ACC.There is nothing overrated about Dabo. He didn’t luck into 2 titles and 4 title game appearances…. He’s annoying as a speaker but he’s easily the second best coach in the country behind Saban

Again there is. He plays a **** schedule that GUARANTEES he gets into the playoffs every year. Once you get there anything can happen and he has a roster on par with the Bama’s and OSU’s of the world so they should compete. His coaching is not so good that he would have that same resume in the SEC where there are 3-4 games that can derail your season every year. He has the luxury of lining up a Ferrari against Pinto’s 11 out of 12 weeks. There are 51, 4-5* players going to ACC schools in 2023; 18 of them are going to Clemson. By comparison the SEC has 128. No team can amass 1/3 of the talent in their conference like they can.Once again, there is nothing overrated about Dabo.... You don't have postseason resumê by pure luck.....
An example of being overrated at a big program is Ryan Day.....

And you can choose to think that the path to get there doesn’t directly impact what he’s been able to do. Dabo is a benefactor of talent and his schedule. His rise coincided with Spurrier’s retirement, FSU’s downturn, our downturn etc.Overrated coaches don't have 4 Natty game appearances and 2 Natty's against the greatest coach of all time.....
You can choose to think that is a resumĂŞ of an overrated coach, but you will be in the minority.....

The schedule meaning his conference is trash. You’re being dense and arguing semantics. I blatantly pointed out how he benefits from his schedule (conference for you) numerous times.Dabo doesn't get to pick 2/3's of his schedule. That is set in stone via the conference.... To say he is riding a gravy train from something he doesn't control is clownish... To say he's overrated is just foolishness.....
