I cant be the only one that's heated over the fact that this kid hasnt been contacted in some time. I know the current staff is on the way out, but isnt there such a thing as professionalism?

We cannot afford to lose another O lineman. We still need to add 2 or 3. I hope to God Moses comes and Phillips stays.

I have faith that the new staff will be attractive enough to rein some of these guys back in and also add some big names.

time for a call clk

Ask and you shall recieve.

"I talked to coach Kiffin last week," Phillips said. "He came by my house, and we talked for a while. I like him a lot. I think he is a very good fit for the program. I still plan on sticking with my commitment."

"I know I am going to Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Florida State. I plan to make a final decision after those visits. I am mainly going to look at who my position coach is going to be."

Scout still has this guy as a soft-commit. I wonder why he's no longer on our list on Rivals?

Sounds like he's still committed per the above quote.

Per Rivals article from Miss all-star game....12/10/08 ***reworded a bit to not directly copy & paste***

OT Aubrey Phillips
6-6/310, Olive Branch (Miss.) High
Has best body structure of any OL on Mississippi squad. He is very versatile. He can play OT or OG and he is even being looked at as possibly lining up at some defensive tackle for the Volunteers, to whom he is committed.

Would love to see a big body on the DLine. Hope he has that Haynesworth nasty streak in him.

I don't know what is going on with this guy....At the Bama/Miss all-star game he confirmed his commitment but now rivals has him as uncommitted. Any body know the deal?

It would make absolutely no difference whatsoever except in the rankings which recruits seem to glance at from time to time.

"They could have called anybody to take his spot, but they called me, and I am really honored," Phillips said. "It is a great feeling to be considered an All-American.

"I still feel 100 percent committed to Tennessee," Phillips said. "I feel like I am home up there. The atmosphere, the campus, I love it."

Still plans to visit Ark., MSU and FSU.

Glad to here he's still committed though.
