What time does the injury report come out tonight? I wanna be able to see the questionable status for myself.

.....on a serious note, its awesome to be back at this point again. Been a long time since we've made it to Nov and fans are clamoring for any morsel of news about an important storyline for an upcoming game......

Sometimes I forget about your doctorate in cultural anthropology…

Can’t forget what you never knew in the first place.

University of Phoenix. #1 online cultural anthropology program in the country, according to U.S. News & Global Report. I was quarterback on the football team too.

Is anyone from the program officially said it was a concussion? There are two plays where he could have been hurt and both of them looked more like a torso injury. Lot of egg on some faces if it turns out something else.

You can bet if Nico plays the Dawgs will be after him for a bit hit.
I'm sure they would like to knock him out for the season

Saturday— He threw up after the hard tackle. He was held out.
Sunday— Tests and evaluation.
Monday— Attended meetings. Dressed. Threw routes.
Tuesday— At practice. Did not practice.
Wednesday— At practice. In pads. Threw. Practiced with team for closed practice.

It’s definitely trending in the right direction.
So basically today he went about his usual business? Also, why did he practice Monday, but not yesterday?

I’m not sure what you mean by “usual business”. He’s not taking any contact. Monday was meetings and throwing. No practice. Yesterday he was not cleared to practice. Today he was.

Is being cleared to practice the same as cleared to play or is that different process?

Concussion protocol is a series of graduating steps with 24 hours between each one. Cleared for non-contact practice comes before cleared for contact practice.

Yep, it’s gonna be up to Nico. I’m not a doctor, and hits that aren’t even concussions are bad for you, but Nico wasn’t knocked out cold, he wasn’t struggling to stand, this was luckily a mild concussion that I’m hoping they are being extra cautious with.
His hits to the head have come from his head hitting the ground after some of his runs. If he plays, the game plan should be short passed so he can get the ball out quickly to help avoid any unnecessary hits.

We're gonna need him for the rest of the season. Too much at stake for UT to put him out there if he's not 100%.

We seem to get into a situation, every year, where our backup QB has very limited game experience. We need to figure some way to have a backup QB with more game experience. It works well for our defensive line.

Honestly, I would be excited to see what Gaston Moore would bring to the game if Nico is a no-go. He seemed to be taking more downfield shots than Nico was against MS State. And he might be a quicker read of defenses in Heupel's system than Nico due to the time he's been in the system.
