Austin Price gives promising update on Nico

I am very curious. What have you seen from Gaston that makes you think he can lead the offense to a win? The few decent throws he had against a horrible MSU? He has never started against a top tier SEC team on the road. I seriously don’t understand why some of you are just undervaluing Nico. Gaston is a backup for a reason.

Do you think UGA will respect Gaston’s ability to throw? No they won’t. They will stack the box and force him to they and beat them with his arm. That’s a recipe for disaster

Im not undervaluing Nico at all, in fact, I’ve been one of his biggest defenders on here. But to answer your question, I think it’s possible to scheme a game around Gaston’s abilities—-long, methodical drives, no hurry up, heavy run game and rely on Gaston’s ability to throw short routes to keep the chains moving. A few deep passes to keep the defense honest.

Don’t wear the defense out with quick 3 and outs. Gaston has been in the system forever and I think that he can manage the game well. Chunk plays are fun, but football is literally a game of inches. 3.4 yards per play.

You forgot his agent. If his agent says no, then NO Nico. And, btw, I can't really complain about this. His long term health is the only serious concern here. And playing against a dangerous and talented Ga team is not the best environment to come back from Concussion Proto.
I ignored his agent. These are decisions which the family should make.

MSU has a pretty good defense and Gaston played well against them. In fact we scored 13 points against them in the second half. Georgia has given up a lot of yards and point this year compared against the teams they have had the last 3-4 years. I still like ch QB plays.

It’s a recipe for disaster if you turn the ball over. It could also be a recipe for a Dodge City, Kansas-level mud-soaked, ear-biting, eye-gouging street fight where both defenses dominate and the total score ends up being under 35. I like our chances in that kind of game about as well as theirs, although home field would give them an edge.

Parents still hold a lot of sway in a tight-knit family like Nico’s seems to be. Kids of this generation have the apron strings tied tighter that gen

Not sure many teams are concerned about Gaston Moore.
Cause they haven't seen or even heard of him. But, you know what? The Germans weren't concerned about General Anthony McAuliffe either. But he whooped they azz. Most Michigan opponents weren't concerned about third stringer Tom Brady either, then he whooped they azz. It ain't even the first time an UNCONCERNED ABOUT QB has risen to the challenge and whooped azz. Me? If the Heup is confident about Gas Pipe, so am I. Doubters and all our opponents are free to go to the Darvaza Crater.

Reminds me of how we were so tickled that LSU had to play Matt Mauck.

Let’s be their 2001 SEC Championship game.

Nuts.

lol. Yeah whomever thought that is crazy. And look at the absolute chaos it’s already creating. The expanded playoffs is an absolute clown show. It’s ridiculous. But hey that’s what people wanted.
And if it was last year's playoff format we would have very little chance at all.....are we EVER going to be happy?

Unfortunately, the Ole Miss-Georgia outcome has likely made this game almost unwinnable. If Georgia had won that game and Nico played and was at the level he has been since halftime of the Alabama game, I'd give us a decent shot. As it stands now this is an elimination game for Georgia, at home, at night. Combine that with the additional advantage of desperation, I don't think it matters if Nico plays or not. I'd pay a lot of money to be wrong.

Are we not desperate either??? First shot at Atlanta in forever and if we lose we’re most likely done to. Don’t give me that Georgia motivated crap. If we lose it cause they’re better. No team is more motivated than the other. Both teams have everything to lose

Do you think the Georgia-Ole Miss outcome has zero impact on the Tennessee-Georgia game?
