I tried to play when I was in Jr High, that was about it. I hit a ball every now and then with a friend. I really suck, it truly is a game that is harder to play then it looks.

absolutely. I trust Jimmy Connors judgment over my own and like i said before, it appears that he is working on his net game now. It just sucks that focusing on these other points of the game is taking away his biggest weapon.
I guarantee you it galls Connors to see Roddick 4-6 feet behind the baseline all the time. That has nothing to do the JC's coaching. That is all about AR's comfort zone.

I've been watching as I can. Sorry to see Andy go out today. I've kind of brought myself around to being able to enjoy watching Fed dominate the sport. I was a little young to appreciate Borg's run, so this may be my window of opportunity to see "the best that ever played the game". I do anxiously await some dominant U.S. men though.

Blake will next go up against Marin Cilic in the quarters. I think he has a good chance in that matchup, although I know very little about Cilic other than his stats.

He would then face the Federer/Tomas Berdych winner. Berdych is long and if Federer is tired, could give Roger some problems. I doubt that will happen though.

I had never seen Cilic before yesterday. If you've ever seen his countryman, Ancic, their games are very similar. Cilic played some very impressive tennis against Gonzales. Should make for a good match.

Good game still going on on ESPN. Baghdatis v Hewitt. It's a battle.

not that i'm complaining being half a world away, but i'd be pissed if i was playing at 3 am.

edit: For whatever reason, my cable's out. Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

No doubt! Looks like Hewitt is getting it in hand now. He's won like the last 7 games. He's up 2 sets to one and lookinng good to close out the match soon witha 3-0 score in the fourth.

I didn't realize baghdatis beat safin. I turned it off when safin had all the mo and was handling his business.

surprising, but it's always hard to root against a gritty fighter like baghdatis
