Australian Open

i just find it hard to root for Serena at anything. think i landed on her side because she's dramatically more attractive than Jankovic.

OSU tied TX out of the half while I watched that 2nd set.

dramatically is pretty strong word there. I wouldn't call either extremely attractive, but I also don't think I'd turn either down.

jankovic looks great across the net, but they need to avoid closeups like the guys filming Mrs. Doubtfire.

Oh man. It was Jankovic that was doing those splits at a tourney a few years ago. I got her mixed up with Ivanovic. Both have nice bodies, but only Ana has the face to match. These Eastern European names are confusing. I initially thought you were saying Serena was more attractive than Ana Ivanovic. My head nearly exploded.

I woke up in the middle of the night and turned on the Sharipova Henin match. Sharipova has such an intense look in her eyes, she is the one to beat IMO.
I'd love to wake up to watch the Federer/Blake match. Does anyone think he will take a set from Federer?

i still think Federer has looked shaky all tourney long. If Blake will ever beat him, this is his best chance.

(and by shaky, i mean that's he's only slightly better than everyone else on a hardcourt)

Bill what do you think about the Frenchman Tsonga? He will be playing Nadel, in the semi-final that should be a good match.

i've only seen him once in this event. Didn't ever seem confident or that he could take over. But it's tough to tell from one match. I don't expect Nadal to struggle.

neither player playing all that well, Williams has to quit making dumb mistakes.

Although i repeat what i said earlier. A Sharapova/Ivanovic final will not upset me in the least.

and boy has she.

my sincerest apologies for jinxing one of the last Americans. Ivanovic just outplayed her. I don't think current injuries had anything to do with either Williams' ouster, I think they just weren't properly conditioned (especially to play doubles as well) and were worn out. The women's side is shaping up to be quite a contest.

was exhausted and couldn't bring myself to wake up at 3:30. But from what I can tell, Blake played Federer tough, but just couldn't put the dagger in to take a set. We are running out of good American tennis players altogether.

Sharapova absolutely put the smackdown on Henin. I've never seen Henin get her butt handed to her like that. Sharapova is looking strong for this tourney.

I think she has a house in Florida, and it seems like I remember something about her having one in California, as well.
