Avengers Infinity War: SPOILER Thread

Nebula should kill Thanos but she’s not a big enough character IMO for them to pull the trigger.

And we know Captain Marvel is going to play a huge role

It's gonna be interesting how Marvel plays into this.

I have a strong feeling that time will be turned back and the ending of part 1 will be undone. Maybe Thanos has regrets? That weird Gamora as a child scene has me confused. Just my own theory.

Well I think it’s pretty obvious they aren’t going to take out Black Panther and Spider-Man permanently.

It’s gonna have to be involved with the time stone.

It will be interesting how people to react because people will say it’s a “cheap trick” to just undone everything but that’s exactly what happens in the comics so it would follow the storyline.

And also Stark will be the key, since Strange said his life wasn’t worth the time stone and then changed his tune

Could also see Adam Warlock as a possibility but I think they are waiting on that

Doesn't Thanos always tip his hand as to what will undo him because he feels unworthy in the comics?

I realize there's no Lady Death running around so it may not matter...

I almost wish that they had moved the hill/fury scene up to a mid credit type sequence and had left the post credits empty just to make you feel as your last emotion that there was no hope. I think everyone would have flipped out considering how much we've come to expect post credit extras in the marvel universe.

Although he played a key role in the Comics I think they are holding out on him for the next Guardians movie.

I’m glad they didn’t go that route. I always thought that aspect of the story was a little hokey. Although Thanos’ motivation isn’t exactly new I thought it felt more grounded... or as grounded as a cosmic conquering Titan can be I guess.

Kinda surprised this thread isn’t blowing up a little more already.

Listening to some podcast reviews noted something I didn’t really think about. Of all the deaths at the end, the core Avengers group of IM, Cap, Thor, Hulk, and BW all remained. So while this one was a culmination of all the movies and including the more recently introduced characters like Guardians, BP, SM and DrS, this really clears the board for one last hurrah of the core group to be center stage in A4.

Could you refer some podcasts?

Could you refer some podcasts?

The two Ivlistened to yesterday were...

iFanboy - they are generally pretty solid. They always try to go in without following any news or watching the trailers. As best they can anyway.

Pop Culture Leftovers has a ridiculously long one (over 3 hours) but they broke down a ton of stuff.

Definitely agree with that. Never understood why you have a character in the comics willing to wipe out half the universe...but he has unresolved confidence issues. Its obviously taking a toll on this MCU version, but he seems pretty damn fine with what he's done. Its a very interesting story the way they've worked it so far...

The scene where Thanos goes the Gamora's planet to kill half the population and sees Gamora and decides to comfort her and distract her so she doesn't actually see her people getting killed might be my favorite scene of the movie.

The huge plot twist in part 2 will be that the heroes from all the Netflix shows, Agents of SHIELD, and The Runaways will show up and save the day, and then flip off the Avengers and say "WE DO EXIST A-HOLES!".

It’s going to be interesting to see how they tie in her movie. It’s going to be set in the ‘90s I believe.

Wasnt there a war on in an alternate universe in the comics? The reality stone could bring everybody back easily. The deaths definitely felt hollow but the movie was fun.
