Wasnt there a war on in an alternate universe in the comics? The reality stone could bring everybody back easily. The deaths definitely felt hollow but the movie was fun.

Idk I thought the Peter Parker and Tony Stark final sequence had some real weight

Absolutely. I was wearing my freaking Spiderman shirt, and covered my head partly. Ha

Edit: The alternate universe was not Infinity War but Secret Wars, my mistake. As for the deaths, we all know Spiderman isn't going to die so while you could feel the emotion between Stark and Peter, it held no power for me.

That’s fair. If you had heard anything about the Infinity Gauntlet story you should have been totally prepared for this ending. That snap was going to happen at some point. Plus it’s superhero comic books so Death is never permanent.

I thought the emotional moments were for the reactions of the survivors. They don’t know how it’s going to be ok.

I need to reread the comics, I think I only have the Infinity Gauntlet mini-series where he gets all the stones and not the war itself.

Despite the title of the movie it’s based of the Gauntlet story and less so the follow ups, one which was called Infinity War.

It’s fairly easy to see where this is going even without reading the comics. Obviously the time stone and capt marvel will save the day and bring back all the fallen heros.

I've never read any of the comics, so I don't know where it goes. I didn't even know what or who the post credit scene was referring to until I read it online. That being said, I know that certain characters aren't dead because they have movies already in the can. The other thing to remember is while we know where things are going, the characters don't. It's still real to them, dammit! Lol.

Quill: “Where is Gamora?”

Stark: “I’ll do you one better, WHO is Gamora??”

Drax: “I’ll do you one better, WHY is Gamora??”

Dude, Deadpool is Marvel so chill. And I think he is hilarious. Don’t get your geek tighty whiteys in a wad

Not all Marvel characters are part of the MCU. The rights to use the characters of The Fantastic 4, The X-Men, Deadpool and Mutants in general in Movies and TV are owned by Fox and are seperate from The MCU.

Deadpool is for sure MCU...makes your #2 moot.

No. He’s not.

Also, even if he was, that would not make my #2 moot.

A Marvel movie is not necessarily an MCU movie.

The statement was: “Thanos is the funniest in the MCU.”

Educate yourself.
