Coach Azzanni said he wants 4 WRs that he can count on and trust as his go to guys this fall, but will play as many as 9 in a single game. My opinion only, but I see 3 of those spots being filled with:

Croom
Pig
North

And the 4th spot being up for grabs between:

Blanc
Smith
Harris
Jenkins

The rest that will rotate in spots during games:

Young
Carter
Dallas
Bowles

Anybody else see if differently? Am I missing anyone?

Who's the JC player we got? Jonathon Johnson? I might put him in that 2nd group as well, not sure how he's performing at camp

I'd put Dallas in the first group with Croom getting the majority of snaps out of group two.

according to the text in a few of the practice scrimmages, he's been running behind the brunt. he's out there when dobbs/ferguson are running snaps, so he will struggle to see the field. especially w/ the emergence of smith and north.

Bowles is very underrated. I has quietly had a good spring.... He may jump in the mix quicker that most think.

Nothing against Croom but IMO, I do not think he will be an everydown WR, I see him more of a third down WR or a Goal Line Receiver. He is big and strong and can out muscle for the hard cathes. But in this uptempo offense, the speed may be a problem. So, I would think you will see Pig, North, and Jenkins with a rotation at 4th based on situation.

He got nailed by randolph in the spring game and held onto a 15 yd catch... Idk what makes u think he cant catch

How about every report that comes out about training camp? I've never watched a single practice, I've just heard EVERYONE else say he drops everything thrown his way.

I'd say the 3 starters will be Dallas, Carter, and Browles with Croom battling for one of those spots.

I've seen a ton of dropped balls by multiple receivers in the practice videos. Many more than I would expect even though it is against air. It leaves you thinking wtf is going on? Hopefully a few of them will settle down enough to be reliable.

i say if you can catch you should play.pig will see his time go down as the bigger receivers start to step up

I agree with the OP. Croom, Howard, & North are the likely starters. Azanni says he wants 9 receivers for his rotation.

1. North
2. Croom
3. Howard
4. Young
5. Dallas
6. Blanc
7. Open
8. Open
9. Open

I also think much of the post practice media chatter is about motivation for the younger guys and not just at WR. We have almost zero depth beyond the starters on both sides of the ball. We need the young guys to step it up big time otherwise we're gassed in the second half and especially the 4th quarter. The preseason depth chart, reps with the ones, and all the attaboys for the young guys is all about building depth. JMO.

Not sure who the guy is in TSR at lunch but the last few days he's been raving about Jonathan Johnson. The kid from junior college out of Texas. Saying he's getting a lot of looks in the slot with first team. Just saying what I'm hearing

The dude on TSR at lunch time is raving about Johnson in practice. Says he will probably be starting in the slot for us this year. He also mentioned that camerron Sutton is dominating in practice. Has great skills & fundamentals. Went on to say he was well coached in HS.

Not many are mentioning Jacob Carter in the rotation. Is this because he doesn't fit CBJ's style of offense as well?
He had a few big catches last year and finished 2nd in receptions after the big 3, so I just found it curious.
