My 2 cents:

If this were an intentional act, it wouldn't have happened in the middle of the night. Terrible situation.
If they got to chose their departure time. Probably they had to shove off when the harbormaster or whoever told them to leave.
It sure looks like an accident.

The govt needed a distraction from the PDiddy raid and the capt of the ship was running behind schedule. Won’t hear another word on the raid.

Indonesia is a majority muslim country with terrorist cells present. So it is certainly possible that this was intentional terrorism. One thing to keep in mind though is that ships are often "flagged" registered etc in whatever country gives them the best advantages for trade/business and where a ship is said to be from often has absolutely nothing to do with whomever owns the ship, nor where the crewmembers came from. So while this is said to be an "Indonesian " ship it may have little to nothing to do with Indonesia in reality. That saiď...anytime something like this happens post 9.11....those of us who watched that carnage unfold likely have at least some suspicions that muslim terrorists have attacked again. I know that I do anyway. Perhaps i am the only one.
It's Singapore flagged.
I hope you're the only one. But there are some other scaredy cats out there.

theyre hurting. its awful, I get it.

Wonder how the Mexican families feel when the video cameras are rolling BEFORE the Federalis are there, to 'quell the peasant uprising'... with automatic weapons? Hate it, sucks. But, cant not report on it. Point being, we have it pretty good here.

Because if it was a terrorist act, they'd probably want as many casualties as possible, so they'd do it during the day when there's probably hundreds of cars on the bridge. Although rescue would probably be easier during the day.
You're right. I don't know why I missed that.

thanks.

Baltimore, like most ports has pilots that are specifically trained for its port's geographic and current features and those pilots take over the ships as they enter and leave the harbor. The pilot was from Baltimore.
So there was a harbor pilot at the helm? No doubt they feel horrible about the accident.

I'm sure there was a pilot on board but with modern ships when they lose power they generally lose steering. Pretty much everything is drive by wire.
You know a little bit about everything don’t ya?

Meaning you are also too damn smart to run for office. Well sh**! lol.

Economic terrorism could not have planned this any better. Impact is in the tens of billions.

1. Busiest port on east coast is now down for unknown time.
2. Even when they clear the debris so ship operations can resume, the only other travel is through the tunnels. That means all hazardous waste and certain types of trucks which could only use the Key bridge are now out for a long time.
3. Ripple effect on inflationary prices as shippers scramble to use other, already packed ports will be biggest impact
4. Cost to rebuild bridge in corrupt Baltimore can be assumed to be astronomical and easily take 5-7 years.

What I do not understand is why the ship did not have towboats taking it out of harbor? Or do they not have towboats there? It seemed like it was going pretty fast.

Update: There were 8 men repairing potholes on the bridge at the time the ship took down the bridge.

So far they rescued 2 of the 8. The search is ongoing.

There is no word on the number of cars that went over.

The ship called out a mayday and cars were stopped from entering the bridge but there is no word on any warning given to the pot hole workers.

Breaking News: The b--s story that elected officials are giving that after the mayday call that they were able to stop vehicles from entering the bridge is proven a lie by this video.

Vehicles are clearly crossing the bridge right up to impact.

Economic terrorism is precisely why it can't immediately be ruled out that it was intentional. Not all attacks have to be aimed at human lives.

Your last part is the 64 thousand $ question . No cargo ship should go in or out of a major harbor without having harbor whORes/ “ tugs attached to them .

Thanks i corrected my post as to where the ship was flagged from.

As far as the rest, being scared of terrorists is like being a "homophobe" or "xenophobe"...nobody i know is actually scared of terrorists, gays, or illegal aliens. Doesn't mean that we arent entitled to our opinions regarding any of the above. Free speech and whatnot.
