Baltimore Unrest

To Everyone on this thread, my deepest apology for the comment. I was curious to see what the response to an utterly tasteless and ignorant comment would be if directed at white people.

The comment in no way represents my personal feelings. But after having to thumb through such comments as "Kill all the black people in Baltimore" and others just to see if and real discussion was taking place, would an equally repulsive statement directed whites be met with the same passive attitude.

Once again, my deepest apologies.
I take no offense. Actions speak much louder than words, and I appreciate outrageous statements and dark humor.

Actually, white people root over stupid chit like sports.

Yeah and those rioters should literally be beaten with rubber hoses and pillow cases filled with oranges and/or coke cans.

I can at least understand why the folks have been rioting with the cop issues.

Sports riots? That is even dumber.

Are they implying this is a racist act?

No. Many are accusing Whole Foods of "feeding the oppressor" while apparently most urban children in Baltimore are starving because without school in session there is no one to feed them........

Man..how bad is it when you rely on public education for your child to get a meal for the day?

Sad. I'm sure they already sold their food stamps for cigarettes, weed, and alcohol and depend on school to babysit and provide free lunch. Obviously working is just totally out of the question.

You have no idea how it works, do you? But, keep trying.

Well, it's obviously just the continuation of the systematic oppression that led their moms and dads to not be able to get toilet paper and basic supplies (for free, from looting) or the ones who are enterprising enough to want to buy the items (on account of their brethren destroying the stores from which they could buy food items)...

They're just doing the typical misplacing of blame because modern American society fetishizes a mexican standoff of blame. It's never your fault.

On a side note, I do feel pity to people who would otherwise be on the streets buying food but have to stay home on account of fear of the rioters and, without a car, they're left depending on local stores to purchase goods from.

In that case, there really is little or nothing those people can do for themselves. If you live on a tight budget, you might have gone out on Saturday and bought your weeks food in advance and you do so relying on lunches for your children being provided from the school.

I've lived like that before, it's very tight. Sometimes I do think people can be detached from their own past and moreso not able to think about a world outside of their own. Not everyone is a middle/upper-class well off family. People are going to struggle and they're going to struggle despite working hard and having ambition.

I understand these people getting handouts are somehow disgruntled that the folks called in to keep their own people from destroying every damn thing is getting a sandwich and water when that should be a handout for them. Did I miss something?

Racist against Mexicans, IMO!

I can't tell you what your point means. Sorry. There is a reason I was asking.

He's saying for white people and sporting events the stadium is the symbol of their community. They gather up and maybe burn a car or a bus.

The riots in Ferguson and Baltimore have targeted white bystanders and local businesses. They are actively burning the "symbol of their community" when they set fire to a CVS and then cut the water line of a fire engine trying to put it out.

You were attempting to compare white rioters to black rioters when it comes to sporting events, hence the question of when have they burned down a stadium? Sorry, soccer doesn't qualify either.

Every big city iin the U.S is like Baltimore in term on economics..poor uneducated and angry.. Looking to blame someone else for their own lack of success. Just look I side the numbers of unwed births and educational levels and basically you have angry young men romi g the streets looking to destroy personal property and cause havoc.. What do they care.. Non of their money will ever go to pay for it.

Ironic post is ironic.

Pretty sure white people rioting after sporting events attack symbols of their community, even if they don't burn $0.5 billion stadiums down (how this compares to a CVS, I don't know).

West VA they burn couches, no big deal. The bad sporting riots are in Europe and involve soccer, if I just sat through a 90 min a ball being kicked around for a 0-0 score I might just riot too.
