We lost they didn’t so they should’ve moved up, but we’ve seen crazier stuff happen with the committee in years pasts, so who knows what might happen.

If they still value head to head then we’ll see, otherwise they’re just making up new parameters each week.

They do value head-to-head. But it is one of many factors.

And there it is, the committee’s reason to have us jump Bama and sneak us in so long as either TCU or USC loses in their championship game

For us to get in, we need USC and TCU to both lose, not just one. Because in that scenario, you have USC dropping atleast 3 spots for losing to whoever they got slotted with last night. TCU losing to a 3 loss K State team would cause them to drop as well...

With those 2 losses, you essentially have 11-1 OSU, 10-2 Bama, and 10-2 Tennessee in no certain order waiting at 5,6,7

If rankings come out Tuesday and we are at the 6 spot ahead of Bama or in dream scenario, OSU is at 7, we have slim chance....

Just depends how the CFP rates OSU getting dusted at home as a 9 point favorite against Michigan who's best player was basically out

Oh like beating down the other team that Alabama lost to? And said team just lost to the worst team in the conference this year. What else is there to debate? Oh wait, I forgot that being a Nick Saban worshipper outweighs everything.

Agreed. USC is weak too but if they win the Pac-12 they deserve to go.

Sadly I think Alabama has as much of an argument for 5th as OSU. OSU schedule looks weaker overall.

There are only 3 teams that have risen to the occasion above every other team. They are still undefeated. You could throw the others in a crockpot.

You can whenever they weren’t common opponents because we will never know how Alabama would fare. You can only go by head to head and common opponents in our situations.

No you still can’t. Football isn’t transitive. Never was. Never will be. We got manhandled by UGA AND USCe. That matters. Significantly.

lol so had we gone 1-11, we should be considered over the one team we beat that went 10-2? I don’t like it, but you can’t argue how bad we looked in our losses to how Alabama only lost by a combined 5 points, both at the very end. UGA destroyed us and took their foot off the gas in the third quarter to avoid injuries in the rain
