Even if TCU loses a close game in the BIG XII Championship Game they still have the resume to make the playoffs... especially over Alabama.

Honestly, I have no argument for Bama getting into the playoff. But I don't understand the argument that some are making that UT should jump Bama. The committee (and the polls) have made it clear what they think of the head-to-head results in the bigger picture. So, what happened yesterday that makes some think that UT should leapfrog Bama?

UGA, Michigan, and TCU could all lose next week and I'd still put them in front of both TN and Bama. I can't even put either ahead of tOSU. If USC wins next week, I can't put either in front of USC. The argument could go either way for who goes in front of who regarding TN and Bama imo. But to act like it's a no brainer based on all the events of the season is just absurd.

I agree with all of that, except I wouldn't guarantee TCU a spot if they get crushed.

As far as Bama and UT, one can argue all day what should happen. But anyone who thinks UT is going to jump Bama because they beat Vandy is kidding himself.

Under absolutely any scenario are we jumping Bama. Ain’t happening. Last week took away any possibility of us making it and rightfully so. That said Bama’s chances were f making it are slim but better than ours.

I just said I wouldn't put Bama or TN above them. if they lose, tOSU and USC (with a win) jump them imo.

Let me get this straight you would rather Bama win than Georgia? Is there a third choice in this? Because I hate both of those choices.

The argument would more center around Carolina beating top 10 Clemson and jumping into the polls while LSU lost to a terrible A&M team thus affecting SOS view. Not going to happen anyway, but those 2 losses (SC and LSU) look a bit different in the end.

I'd agree that they look different after Saturday. But I can't make heads or tails of how I'm supposed to feel about USCe. Yes, they beat two Top 10 teams the finish up the year. And it would be really easy to say "they really improved as the season went on." But they spent the three weeks before that losing to a barely bowl eligible Missouri, beating Vandy by a couple of scores, and failing to score an offensive point against Florida. So, did they improve? Or is it just a question of Rattler being schizophrenic from week to week?

I don't get the love for Ohio State. They had one big game all year and they lost big at home. Alabama lost in the last seconds twice, on the road. Ohio State's schedule all year consisted of being favored by 15+ points in every game. Must be nice. Alabama absolutely should be ranked higher than them
