bama don't deserve

BCS poll believes in the eye test. Bama was just the better team. Bama plays okie lite, weeden is in a body bag by halftime. Under the 4 team playoff format that's coming, the eye test is still on. Enjoy!

Honestly, it as a system itself more just believes the polls...which themselves have more of a short-term (/week-to-week) type memory (an earlier loss is of much less detriment than a later loss)

It does account for more, but through numerous revisions, it almost seems to become more a reflection of the human polls (which, personally, seem terribly suspect to influence from major sports media like ESPN, but that's another topic)

Yep. There was no one more deserving.

Or were you being sarcastic and suggesting that the point of the BCS was to match up the #1 and #2 team in the country as long as they haven't already played?

My point was that you all lost to a team that you played late in the season and then somehow you got the opportunity to play them again.....you all didnt even go to the SECCG and made it in the NC....with the logic used for bama getting a rematch, Michigan shouldve been playing OSU for the NC in 07....but guess what they lost so they didnt get a NC game spoon fed to them

I cant argue much with last year because you won the conference.....2011 the voters pretty much said it isnt fair to leave them out because they are a good team whether they lost or not.....it shouldnt work that way....if u played them before the NC game rolled around, then u shouldve beat them then.....just because a team is talented doesnt mean they deserved it....you have to earn it by winning more than the next team....that is, unless you are bama. then its ok to drop 1 a year

Ill put it this way. If a team like Arkansas traded places with bama during 2011 and had the same games at the same times and the same outcomes of every game across the country, then arkansas wouldve got passed over because they already played lsu and lost

Bama has been generally dominating the best football conference in the country...and people are saying they "wouldn't last in a playoff" after America's best coach gets a month to prepare?

C'mon, man.

VolNation: where Bama football/Kentucky basketball could win 5 straight national titles and people would still be saying they got lucky.

Teams have no control over conference schedules. And the people complaining about Alabama's OOC are the same ones who want us to quit scheduling the likes of Oregon and OU and replace them with "guaranteed" wins.

Anyone complaining about Bama's OOC schedule is either biased beyond reason, or has been in a coma for the past 6 years.

Agree. UGA on the other hand...

Really? I think UGA's scheduled pretty well. Aside from the fact that they play GT every year, they've played or will play @ Clemson, Boise St (in Atlanta), @ Colorado, and @Oklahoma St. And that's just the past five seasons.

GT and Colorado are not big OOC games, imo. Clemson, Boise and Ok St, yes. They are changing lately but guess I was thinking further back on their lighter schedule.

TUSKTIMES = BAMAWRITER, And probably a few others are the same. It's exhausting arguing with the same guy all the time.

A swing and a miss.

And since when do you "argue" with anyone? You haven't answered the question I've asked you three times in this thread. You just post more disconnected tripe.

Just about anyone deserves it more. Even Appalachia state deserves it more. You name it, they deserve it more than your CAKEWALK schedule and booster money.

BAMA is going down.

In 2009, Bama finished with the #2 strength of schedule in all of college football.

In 2011, 15th.

In 2012, 19th.

You want to try again?

and booster money.

Again, are you suggesting that our boosters bribe BCS officials? If not, I don't see how it applies.

BAMA is going down.

Uh, okay...

Any college that shows off their trophy at Walmart, then the Tuskalooser tractor pull,...well, you might be a redneck.

Any college that shows off their trophy at Walmart is the team that won the National Championship, then complied with the contractual obligation with Dr Pepper. Any team that did not show off their trophy at Walmart never had the contractual obligation that comes along with accepting the trophy.

Fixed.
