Bama has got away with-

See i think it's the other way around. Nico has to have a pretty solid game for us to win. OU planned to stop Sampson and slow down the run game and make Nico beat them. They did a pretty good job of that holding us to 25. They're offense was just so garbage it didn't matter and we didn't have to force the issue on offense. You can bet your bottom dollar UGA and Bama will look to do the same on defense. Slow Sampson down and make Nico win the game. Both UGA And Bammer will be much better on offense than OU, plenty good to beat us with a similar gameplan to OU. We will have to get in to the upper 30s to have a chance.
Accept the fact that it is what it is, CJH took the gas off. He won, move on. Quit creating something that is not there. 2022 fight for our lives at Pittsburgh, turned around and beat the crap out of LSU. Have faith, quit looking back and move forward. Nervous Nancy.

Took the foot off the gas? Is that what you're calling that in that game? I wouldn't call it that at all. I would say it was more of JH being smart and not forcing the issue with 2 OTs out of the game. Had we put the hammer down, like you suggest we werent doing, Nico would have either ended up with 5 turnovers or in the hospital that night.

And not sure at all what point you're trying to make about looking back. This is a totally different year than 2022. We are nowhere near the level of that offense yet. We could get there, the potential is definitely there but still a ways to go.

Well your opinion vs CJH statement to Nico. More or less, He dialed it back. You need to look at the facts vs thinking your opinion. 40 yard drive 8 running plays driving it down their throats tells me all I need to know. Results a TD. Went conservative and safe with no panic. Sorry you are wrong.

I'm still trying to figure out what point your trying to make. I agree he dialed it back. But you're implying we would/could have run it up on OU had he not dialed it back. I'm not sure at all that's the case. We ran the ball more, ran the clock, got out of there with victory knowing they weren't going to score on our defense, and the fact that we didn't want to take a chance at blowing the game and not getting Nico hurt because we couldn't pass block.

I just found it amusing regarding the 5 turnover statement. Amusing. Time to move forward vs concentrating on the past.

Finding a way to lose a game that we won is just not very bright. It seems to be some fans way of coping.

uhhhh did you not watch the game bro?? I love Dayne Davis and his grit, but he was getting whipped play after play on passing plays. And when Campebll went down pass protection got worse. 2 fumbles lost as a result of our inability to pass block. And it would have been more had we "mashed the gas". I commend JH for not pressing the issue, trying to take a chance to put up more points, run the ball, and just get the W without inflicting more pain on Nico because that's what would have happened.

And again, I still don't see what point you're trying to make. I pointed out a simple observation from the OU game, that playing that way got us a solid W, without pressing the issue, but you can rest assured we can't and won't win playing the same way against UGA And Bammer. Heard and Campbell have to be healthy, and if they are, I have no doubt the gameplay will be adjusted and we should compete in both games.

I seem to believe you want your assessment more of an opinion to be right. My thought is 1) move on to the next game, 2) the vols won and just dumb to overly review 3) I maybe feeding a troll 4) we are 9 days past that game, 5) A Win is a win and 6) put on your pants Alice.

It is almost impossible to play defensive back in college and pro’s. All of the rules favor the offensive player.

True for the most part.

But they don't enforce the rules. Also, there is no standard across the different ref crews so each game is different. Which sucks. By rule, the DB cannot touch the WR past 5 yards from the LOS...no handfighting, no pushing, no grabbing and holding. Never gets called that way in SEC ball though.

The word is out now: UGA and Bama both are gonna play mostly press man defense on the edges and only rush 4 on the Dline most of the time...until we prove to them that we can beat that strategy consistently. They are 2 of the very few teams in the nation with enough talent to do that every season. It didnt work for Bama in 22 because of Hyatt...didnt work in the 1st half last season either. They doubled Squirrel though in the 2nd half and shut down the only healthy WR we had that could get open versus their DBs. UGA has never been torched by us in this era, so they wont change either. Gonna be press man, and we have to be able to hit some big shots down the field when they load the box. Its really that simple IMO. This is exactly how they both played defense against eachother though as well...and both scored lots of points. Neither defense is unbeatable this season.

We need both our starting tackles on the Oline healthy for both games. With them, i think we can play with both teams and have a chance to win. IF we are healthy. If not, we likely lose both because their Dlines will be very talented.

It's all good. Bama and Georgia can make a lot of secondaries look not so good. We will see how we look against them, maybe we will do ok
Nah fam they don't get the benefit of doubt on their passing game. Ain't nobody ever been scared of Milroe throwing for 400. The fear has always been his legs. UGA isn't known for lighting it up throwing, that's a run first program.

This is correct. Btw...on both strip sacks we had a RB in the backfield too that was supposed to help, 1 sack for each back. It wasnt just the tackles...

Fwiw...Barn was up 11 points with 8 minutes to play (we were up 10) they decided to keep throwing the ball and lost to Oklahoma the very next week. What CJH did was brilliant, successful obviously, and showed me growth as a coach in being able to adjust the gameplan better on the fly and make wise decisions. Big props to him. People forget CJH has only been a head coach for what 7 seasons now? 2 schools. Thats it. He is an outstanding coach and I do not believe ANYONE could have turned this program around faster than he did. Not even Saban. Nobody. What he and this staff did especially in 2022 is nothing short of amazing...playing with 30 less scholarship players than pur opponents and winning 11 games in the SEC is unparalleled, and i bet unprecedented too. We are VERY blessed to have him at UT in my opinion

It was a safety though.
It’s a call that’s rarely made with the ball thrown that far downfield. Ga had a WR on that side of the field that was running an out pattern so it could have been easily passed as miscommunication

Bama looked scary in the first half and Georgia looked awful. Georgia looked scary in the second half. Both of these schools have pretty much dominated recruiting in the last decade in the SEC, so even when looking bad, they have incredible talent on both sides of the ball. We will need some lucky bounces to beat either of them.

I could not believe that the referees called a safety after DeBoer badgered them into it. If they didn’t call it because they saw it, they not have called on his say so.
That safety was on Kirby. He could have run the clock out and gone to half to regroup. Instead, he decided to try and have his shaky QB make a big play. He did. Two points for Bama. Kirby is a good checkers player but he's
lost on chess.
