I can't describe in words how wrong the above reply is

Making light of a guy with a box of doughnuts in flood water in New
Orleans, as opposed to making light of, if not advocating Slave Trade (re: DL in Memphis)?
I'll stick with the pic of Phil as a joke any day.

How many of you think slavery is humorous?

Please Dan, anyone, try to find the words about that being wrong.

Ok.......... It's basically a whole region of people who have been displaced by the storm. Lost materially everything they have, every connection to ordinary infrastructure involved within a society. Those who didnt endure the 25+ hour exodus north to family and friends were placed into shelters where they were subjected to rape, extortion, and fear. The idea of someone photoshopping a pic of someone in waist deep water hauling donuts is to me disrespecting the plight of good average everyday americans who went through a tragedy because they were too poor to flee. The idea of slave trade IMO is this, What happened to the African Americans in the 19th century is similar to what happened to the Jews in the 20th...its the ugly side of humanity. Salvery of any 1 over any 1 is wrong. Any remark even meant in humor I consider it in bad taste...you did ask.
