Bama player appeared to hit woman as he left the field…

If someone provoked any one of those players I'd see it differently, I'm not suggesting he go to jail but he needs reprimanded, what he did was totally unnecessary and to say that just because someone stormed the field with thousands of others they deserved to be hit is wrong and I personally think the sign of the times is that people think what he did was justified.
my thoughts as well. Bare minimum he should sit out a couple of games and get some counseling

Bull ****ing ****

If you can't see a difference between a fan walking around and someone hitting her, you are beyond an f-tard

go get back on the short bus buddy

Honestly, of all the stupid **** I've seen on football message boards, I can still be amazed

Does someone help you tie your shoes in the morning? Wipe the drool off your mouth? Wipe your arse? I would think so, and I am being serious.
Stop crying, and operating in your feelings. She should not have been on the field. He should not have put His hands on Her.

Universal Citation: TN Code § 39-13-101 (2021) A person commits assault who: Intentionally, knowingly or recklessly causes bodily injury to another; Intentionally or knowingly causes another to reasonably fear imminent bodily injury;

Not sure why you're defending this stupid boy....
You know Him ?!

I don't have a problem with saying "if fans did not storm the field, things like this would not happen"

That's true.

But you are making the two things morally equivalent and they are not. Literally "two wrongs don't make a right". Beyond that, there is no moral equlavalence in the two things. One is like slightly exceeding the speed limit, something we all do every day, the other is potentially a felony. There is no equivalence, and it's not even close!

Futhermore, there were at least 84 other bammer players on that field and not a dam one showed their arses, but HE did. Not only that, he appears to have done it twice!

And you are also coming across as saying "she deserved it" . ********.

There were about 60000 other fans and over a hundred bammer personnel and players on that field, and ONLY THIS ******* did what he did.

We could also go into his prior history.

You case quite frankly is ridiculous. Let's do set emotion aside. Your logic is extremely faulty. There is only one person at fault here, and it's him.

Roughly 150 other bammers handled their business, but he didn't.

Let me ask you this, do you think your "she should not have been there" would hold up in court, if it comes to that?

I'll hang up and wait for your reply (just keep digging that hole deeper!) :D:D:D:D:D:D

I don't really have an opinion or enough experience to say what's an "appropriate" punishment and truth be told, really don't care too much. Nor do I have anything vindictive feeling towards Burton.

But I am floored by the people here trying to defend his striking a young lady, in some cases even suggesting that the fault was hers. Some serious parenting failures on display.

He’s a Georgia transfer to Bama. Typical of their programs.

There was an altercation 3 years ago. Then he said some absolutely idiotic stuff in the police car. It was handled, but some people don't think rehabilitation matters and people should be shunned from society forever.

My only contention was that he deserved a shot some place else. Very untrue to assume that people were calling for "shunning from society forever"

Some people still are. The guy I was responding to (in post #477) was acting all hot and bothered that we are supporting Banks now and wanting punishment for the Bama guy. My point was we support Banks now because he went through the process of being dismissed and then completing the things necessary to regain trust back and rejoin the team. Banks' situation was not slapped on the wrist and swept under the rug. I think we are just wondering which direction Bama will go.

Fair enough. I am glad and remain hopeful that Banks stays away from his troubled past. Glad he's doing better even if he still does something's that make you scratch your head

Fan storming the field after a marquee win is a part of college sports and honestly part of what makes the pageantry and excitement. It is a beautiful thing to see a fan base united in exuberant celebration. Get over yourself. This kid is a punk and a menace. He deserves to be reprimanded and needs to be taught a lesson. Next time he pulls that anger response will he have a gun?….or will the victim and get himself killed. He’s a kid with a behavioral problem and committed a potentially criminal act ( albeit minor), you can’t just let that slide. Especially when HE DID IT THREE TIMES TO THREE DIFFERENT VICTIMS!

I guess all of that intolerance of hate goes for everyone but little college girls.

Sounds about right.

Just so we’re clear if I have no trespassing am I allowed to stomp these meddlesome Girl Scouts and their delicious cookies?

According to Tennessee cookie law 96-54-102 section 14 subsection 6-b yes, but only if the stomping in question is performed for the acquisition of Thin Mints, Samoas, Do Si Dos, or in rare occurences short bread cookies.
