I don’t know. If Ohio St wins big are thy really going to leave out a 1 loss Big 10 champion for a second SEC team who has 1 loss and didn’t win their championship? I have a feeling Bama would be left out even though they are clearly one of the 4 best teams. If Georgia wins,
Georgia goes to 1
Bama drops to 4
Right?
what about Oklahoma? also a 1 less power 5 championI don’t know. So it is just like it was before the BCS. Popularity contest. It all comes down to the 4 BEST teams or the 4 most DESERVING teams. If Bama loses, they are one of the best, but not one of the most deserving.
Unfortunately the charter of the committee is to pick the 4 best. Bama gets in regardless, wins another N.C., and everybody in the SEC and NCAA front offices are happy.
My bad. I wasn’t thinking there for a second. They won’t put Bama in over 2 Power 5 champs. I just don’t see it. It really does look like UGA will win this game so here are the rankings of this holds up.what about Oklahoma? also a 1 less power 5 champion
it'll be interesting to see who gets left out if it comes down to ohio state vs OU
I like the thought, but they have all but handed them the trophy. Bama will be in no matter whatMy bad. I wasn’t thinking there for a second. They won’t put Bama in over 2 Power 5 champs. I just don’t see it. It really does look like UGA will win this game so here are the rankings of this holds up.
1. Clemson
2. UGA
3. ND
4. OU
The big loss to Purdue keeps OSU out
They say that’s the charter but that’s not what they go by. Ohio St in 2015 was undoubtedly one of the 4 best and was left out. Oklahoma probably isn’t quite as good overall as Ohio St but doesn’t have that big loss so the committee has OU ahead right now.It all comes down to the 4 BEST teams or the 4 most DESERVING teams. If Bama loses, they are one of the best, but not one of the most deserving.
