I am saying this so called championship is no different than it was even BEFORE the BCS. It is a popularity contest. And it is all about the money.

It is disgusting.

Compare loss. Getting smoked by average Purdue team compared to losing to a top 5 team in an extra game. Committee has to account for that.

Maybe Saban should turn to Hurts. Tua just doesn’t have it today. Great QB but bad game.

True. That’s why I think OU actually. Best of both worlds. Not a terrible loss and still a champ. I forgot about them when I posted.

What do you mean by popularity contest though? because bama, OU, and tOSU are all extremely popular/profitable/historic programs. It's not like we're talking about bama vs kansas (or similar) for the 4th spot. bama would absolutely get the nod
