The winner of Ole Miss/LSU could be the SEC representative in the playoff. Of course I thought Ole Miss would make it last year too.

Ole Miss still has problems. Their defense has a ton of talent, but they can be worn down by a team like LSU.

Kelly made some great plays, but he also got away with dumb throws that Bama's terrible secondary couldn't make him pay for. He will play better secondaries who will capitalize on those errors.

Bama needs to lose at least one more game to be out

They will. I think they lose 2 more.

Seriously!

If they run the gauntlet with Georgia, Ark, A&M and TN without a loss, it would be shocking.

They clearly have one of the best football teams in the country but with sub par QB play, it will be difficult. Coker will get better but will it be in time.

At this point I think LSU beats them as well.

LSU might actually scare me the least at this point. Their defense is solid, and Fournette is a monster. But he's not going to run for 200+ against Bama, and their QB play is still sub-par.

I think your quarterback situation is worse Felicia

No it isn't. Harris just posted a career high on Saturday: 74 yards. LSU didn't need to throw against MSU and AU, but they will against A&M, Ole Miss, and Bama. Whether or not they can is a serious question.

We have 5 QBs on the roster, none of which are comfortable running the system we're trying to run.

We have the worst technique and fundamentals in the secondary that I can ever recall a Bama team having, and that include the early Shula years when we couldn't stop anyone.

Our special teams find new and inventive ways to screw up every single week, and the fact that Bobby Williams gets a six figure salary to put that crap on the field makes me lose faith in humanity.

We turned the ball over 5 times. We got no takeaways.

Despite all of that, Bama had a chance to win in the 4th quarter. This team has the capacity to run the table, which will more than likely mean another trip to Atlanta and a spot in the playoff. But it will require a bunch of guys, players and coaches, pulling their heads out of their rear ends.

So why did Saban recruit 5 QBs that 'are not comfortable' with the system ?

None of them were recruited to play this system. This system was installed during the last offseason because it's what Blake Sims needed to be successful. The question isn't why we haven't recruited QBs for this system, but rather why we haven't gone back to the pro style when we have a bunch of pro style QBs on the roster.

Alabama loses one game, they are in a tailspin.

We lose a game, it means we're going to win the East, and the team that beat us will win the NC.

Volnation logic.

It's called causality, look it up.

The relationship between cause and effect.

What is the cause and what is the effect?

2014: Alabama loses to Ole Miss by 6 points after throwing a late interception with a chance to win.

Result: Alabama wins SEC and moves on to playoff.

2015: Alabama loses to Ole Miss by 6 points after throwing a late interception with a chance to win.

Result: ?

Causality would say that similar actions will bring similar results.

Has anyone seen a GIF of Kiffin raising his arms in bewilderment during the second half of this game? When I saw it, I died laughing and would really love to have that permanently.

Sometimes you just type words with no concept of their meaning.

I mean, they are words, but it's essentially the thousand-monkeys-on-a-thousand-typewriters situation. It just happens by accident.

They are good enough to win out.

You have also listed a couple reasons why I think they dont. QB/scheme issues and seconary play. I think it causes another loss to either UGA/A&M/LSU.

Both teams have bad qb situations (might even say MIZZ qb is better) who's offenses are not clicking and holding themselves in games with defense.

Both teams are scoring around 30 points in any given game. That's not going to cut it any more.

Both teams are sliding downhill pretty quickly. At least I expect MIZZ to get better as the season goes on.

YOU'VE SEEN ALASALAMIS BEST GAME. It doesn't get any better.

Right. Remember this post at the end of this season.

Hold your head high alasalami writer. This is how you support your team volnation.

I still think you've seen their best. Too many questions, too much going wrong, too many egos in the way. I think it's down hill from here. Other teams have your number and have the tape. Alasalami is not going to change. Saban hates change. Until he's gone you will not win a playoff game. kiffen and his thugs are deep in the heart of tuskaloosa at this point as well and it will take a minute to get them out. :hi:

I thought you said you were nicely asked to stop this.

Yes, everything perfect had to happen for OM to win that one. Bama turned the ball over 5 times and yet was still very much in the game until the last 2 minutes

Onsides kick setting up Bama's final TD didn't go perfect for Ole Miss
