I thought that too so I went and saw it in person. It’s a little bit beat. Not bad but has obviously been shot….a lot. It almost has to be a replacement.yeah. I saw the rifle on arms list. I am not an expert on Ruger No. 1 rifles (or any firearms really) but it seems unlikely that they would have matched a stainless barrel (assuming it is stainless) with a blued receiver and trigger assembly on a rifle that is, to some extent, about a certain style. I read on a few boards about the .243 and .244 being known for wearing out barrels. I'm gonna guess this rifle left the factory with a blued 6mm barrel and what is on there now is a replacement.
