Bang Shootie conversation

See the problem is those are not legal in Hamilton co within 1000 yards of another residence.
I’ve thought about filling out a NFA for a silencer for my 10/22 though. Still not legal to shoot in the back yard but nobody would hear it.

Oddly, nobody complained when I shot the coyote.
Forgive my conjecture in the Slice thread, but it did seem plausible that a neighbor might get whiggy over a firearm discharge (my county has similar restrictions - another story).

@VolNExile
Standing on the back porch sighting in the pellet rifle, you saw a picture of by shooting a brass bell, I heard the doorbell ring. I answered the door and the was 2 police officers standing there. I was holding the rifle and said “can I help you gentlemen”. One of them said “we’ve heard reports of some shooting a rifle here….could you put that down?” I told them it was a pellet gun and asked if they wanted to shoot it. They walked threw the house to the back porch and shot with me for close to an hour. While shooting I saw a neighbor walk out on their back porch, throw up their hands and go back in the house. They are from England and I know who called the police.

I have added a much larger and louder target bell at the fence line.
I had a similar experience several years ago at my parents' home. They had new neighbors who saw me use a shotgun to discourage some birds from roosting in a dead tree that was scheduled to be removed. I was not shooting the birds, just making a racket. I'd actually removed the pellets and the only thing being shot was the cup and wad, but...whatever. The people did not know that the city ordinance where they'd moved said you could shoot a shotgun in city limits as long as you are more than 100' from a building. Cops came. Laughs were shared. New neighbors were pissed and never got over it.

I use dragon fire loads for that.
My neighbors love me

Yeah, I fight the urge to level my backyard neighbor’s house using a bofors 40 when they’re out of town. First, discharging the bofors 40 is going to violate the county ordinance. Second, the only bofors 40 that I know of isn’t functional. Third, the only person I know who could make it functional and had a line on obtaining ammo died awhile back. For now, I’ll have to continue tolerating the a’hole from Chicago.

Edit: Yes, this post is darkly humorous. I would like to shoot a bofors 40, though.

It’s 45ACP 10+1

45 moves slow, it is like throwing rocks at the target. So I call him David. The Jewish rock thrower.
Yeah 45 is slow (if you consider 850 fps slow) but heavy. I think it’s a good choice of round for self defense. A case can be made for each (45-9mm) for personal defense but at the end of the day it’s all about what you want to do. Anyway, love the gun and congrats

I’ve been wanting one for a long time
Thanks.
