Just finished the second season, and didn't even realize until 2 episodes ago that every episode had a little 20 second or so scene in it after the credits roll.
Damn this show isn't afraid to throw a ton of stories at once though. Next season has Deva knowing her father, new Chief, Proctor and Rebecca's weird incest but not incest, Hood and the deputy, gordon catching hood, revenge for emmet and Indian Michael Clark Duncan all to handle. Not sure how they're gona cram it into ten episodes.
(I also knew the girl died already, it was spoiled to me when I first opened the show up because it went to the 3rd season first sadly. Oh well, kinda saw it coming.)
I'm gonna be pissed if I don't get me more Job though. He's one of my favorite characters in a long time.

When this show is eventually cancelled, hopefully years from now, I'm going to curl up into the fetal position and weep like a baby.
My show is called Banshee, which has aired for three seasons on Cinemax, garnering critical praise, a vocal and passionate fan base, and record ratings for our network. The show is the saga of Lucas Hood (not his real name), a criminal who gets out of prison after 15 years, steals an identity, and becomes the sheriff of a small Pennsylvania town. This coming January we will air our fourth and final season, which we are still shooting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as I write this.
The recent announcement that our show would be coming to an end confounded our fans and media alike. Why would Cinemax cancel their flagship show at the height of its popularity? The answer is even more confounding. They didnt. I did, in consultation with Banshees creative team.
Looks like you are going to be weeping like a baby a lot sooner than any of us would have wanted. One more season is all we get.

It sucks it's ending, but the reasoning behind it, and the apparent amount of thought put into it doesn't bother me. As someone who writes, I fully understand a story having a shelf life, and extending something too long can ruin it. Some great shows had a bout one season too long, Scrubs, House (last season was fine, season before it was the problem.)
If this show ends as well as it's been all along, then I can't imagine any of us having a problem with it when faced with the alternative.
